Excellent place in the area . The food is tasty, the ingredients are fresh, the ambiance is nice and the staff is friendly and helpful as well. The hygienic conditions are always up to standards.

Very good for breakfast, lunch isn't great here. The choice is a bit disappointing. For example, Caesar salad is £9 but if you want chicken in it is an additional £5. Caesar salad has chicken in by definition, otherwise it's just lettuce!
The breakfast is amazing though if you catch it!
Service has its ups and downs, I had great service here in the past, but last time I went there it felt like an Eastern European frosty vibe took over. Warm up, a smile goes a long way.

One of my favourite spots for breakfast and brunch. Very British and hip but with fair prices. I love to sit in the cafe and just look at the kitchen. Services is normally friendly and fast. Highly recommended when you live in the area. I've been there at least 10 times.

Really lovely place. Greeted by a great looking shop with fresh produce/breads/compotes/jams and local beers. Had a nice evening meal with friendly service. The chicken and leek pie was one of the 'casserole with a pastry lid' ones that everywhere seem to do now, but that's personal preference I suppose! Not a date night place but a good hearty home cooked meal.

In London, you hear people say "lets get some Chinese today" or "I feel like Italian today" but never "I feel like some British today." But I do, then I go here.<br/><br/>This place resembles a posh British Mesh. They used to do Venison Steak, which was the best, but not anymore. The soup of the day is always nice. The cutlery in a Tin on the table is a touch of boarding School feel, but it feels somewhat homely. The solid unpainted tables don't look out of place in this place. The decor is minimalistic. Most importantly, the food is good and wholesome.<br/><br/>On your way out, don't forget to buy some organic bread in their local shop, which is always fresh.

I came here at lunch time to meet a friend. My coffee and croissant were top quality, however i did not order food as I wasn't very hungry that day, but I did have a taster of Kedgeree from my friend's plate, and it was delicious.
The pricing of food was a bit high, but everything looked very fresh and yummy. The place was full at lunch time, which made it a bit noisy. And there was a queue of people waiting to be seated. Worth mentioning the toilets in this place...very clean and posh ;) I would definitely go back.

I've been at Albion several times around tea time and I have to say they probably have the best scones in East London! On a sunny day you an enjoy your drink or food outside and inside the decor is so inviting, like a nice kitchen in your friends house. Albion also has a great grocery shop filled with gourmet goodies and a nice selection of breads and vegetables.

Came for brunch on a Saturday but unfortunately while standing in the queue they stopped serving brunch.<br/>Fortunately the all day menu still had some more breakfast-y options! Went for a mushroom omelette and some toast on the side. It was good but not amazing... The cakes showcase at the entrance looked really good though as did some of the brunch options that we saw arriving at other tables who ordered before 12:30. Personally I think it'd be much better if they served brunch all day but oh well...<br/>Might have to come back to try the actual brunch and some of the sweet treats on offer!

Best scones in London - and a generous size too! Great atmosphere, clean and with good service. Also nice to sit outside on a sunny day. Usually quite busy but don't have to wait too long to be seated. Located in one of my favourite streets in Shoreditch, makes it good for browsing in the unique shops before (or after) heading to the Albion for tea and scones!

It could also have been how lovely and toasty warm it was inside compared to the crisp autumn day. Either way I liked the place instantly. <br/><br/>The interior is really cool, modern but not cold and retro but not over done. <br/><br/>The breakfast food all looked delicious however I just had time for a quick coffee. The coffee was good and delivered promptly with a smile. <br/><br/>Will be back to try the food soon !

This is a very classy, little restaurant in a very trendy locale and serves surprisingly delicious food. The place also gets the best and trendiest crowd. They have many seating options, and I was a little apprehensive of the quality, but the ambiance is spot-on. We were lucky to get great seats at a very busy hour, and enjoyed the view throughout the meal. The menu is completely English, and there are minimal descriptions of food. It is advisable to ask the staff for a recommendation, because the ' Rabbit in Mustard Cream' dish that I ordered was delicious. I savoured each bite of it. The meal was also presented in the most beautiful fashion. We split a rhubarb crumble for dessert, and it was as good as any we have ever tasted. The tea was yummy, the wine delicious and inexpensive and the service very efficient. All of these culminated into a delightful and memorable dining experience. I very much recommend this place.

This little restaurant is a part of a very renowned hotel chain, and it has been designed by a group of famous architects, and this is visible in its design. It is often pitched as a cafe, rather than a restaurant or fine-dining option. The functioning is really efficient, and since we had come in for a quick bite only, we snacked on the lighter dishes.

I went to this place for breakfast and was very surprised seeing the atmosphere there. It was quite a lively one and the place was almost packed with people, however, I quickly found a table and placed my order. I had a poached egg with spinach which was absolutely mouth-watering. The coffee was also very good and the service was quick the whole time I was there. I would strongly recommend you all to try this place.

This place really needs to do something about its sub par service. I booked a table for 9 and 5 mins later they called to clarify that there had been a mistake and that the booking had been done for someone else and they didn't even bother apologize. I was told pay a premium per person and to choose a menu i advance. I just chose to book a table at a restaurant with better customer service.

The immediate first impression that the shop makes upon stepping foot in is that of a lovely ambiance. They have an amazing and beautiful display, with jars of jams are preserves, the fresh vegetables and fruits and breads of all shapes and sizes. Then, there are cheese and drinks in a cabinet on the side, and finally a lovely display of cakes. There could be a queue here on weekends, so be early for your breakfast, brunch or lunch plans.

This place does not serve food complimenting its appeal. I dropped in for breakfast and was deeply unhappy with the food.<br/>Again the view is pretty interesting but the food a major letdown. The crab omelet was flat and bland and the sandwiches and a side of broccoli good but then again they do not need rocket science. The value for money is on a low side.<br/>If i had to recommend something, it would probably be the fresh breads and pastries.

This is the perfect place for a Sunday brunch, but remember it is quite crowded and the service stops around noon ,so i recommend going there early.<br/>The crowd is absolutely amazing and the communal table style seating ,a wonderful idea. This place is a brilliant outlet for a takeaway sandwich or a dine-in lunch. It offers the best country comfort food. This place has a rudimentary and authentic English feel. I especially liked the steak, which was cooked to my description. and also the red wine pie, that was truly delicious.

It is impossible for me to NOT hate this place. It is the most terrible experience. The service is slow so much so that the waiters don't pay much attention to your demands. One feels left out by the restaurant management as very often than never we are on a lookout for whom to give the order to. You would get better food at any roadside joint as well.

To begin with, This place is somewhere between a cafe and a restaurant. It has a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. Not on a really low price end but the place has lot to offer especially their popular pastries and pies. We ordered Sandwiches which are delicious and very filling. The only downside to this place is their undescriptive menu and a lethargic service.

I am surprised why so many reviews are being so negative about this place. I in fact quiet liked it. The ambience is modern in a fascinating way. My partner really enjoyed the food that was served, even though she is very critical about everything. The staff was amicable and accommodated for our baby. I wouldn't get influenced by the harsh reviews because I had a rather different experience.

The restaurant was pretty average in my opinion.And the only marks it does get is for the discount coupon we took their to get 20% off.<br/>The menu is not impressive in my opinion and after deciding on what not to have i decided to order an omlette,but even this was not done properly. The filling was quite good but the texture just inedible and rubbery.<br/>The positive for me would be their service ,which i must compliment was pretty patient, even after not ordering for an hour since one of friends was not there yet, they were humble and not rude at all.

I visited this place expecting it to be a decent place to have a meal as it looked like a good restaurant. I ordered a full breakfast and a cup of coffee. The breakfast arrived relatively late, even though I was a solo diner. I ordered for some bread with my eggs and by the time it arrived, the eggs became cold and inedible. Also, the eggs tasted too bad. The only good thing was the coffee. Definitely not going back.

The absolutely stunning exteriors have always attracted me to this place and its strategic singular location makes it safe from equally beautiful competition.The interiors as i found out was just as classy New York meat district style.<br/>The service in my opinion works efficiently and attentively even during peak hours but a major problem at this place is the food.<br/>The absolute essential is devoid of any good taste and is appetizing only on the menu.The quality is just not up to the mark.I had the rose water fruit salad and almond croissant which were equally bad.This makes the charge seem expensive.<br/>Disappointed with the food , i am not returning!

I was recommended this place by a friend of mine. We arrived here with a few Italian friends. The general look of the place was very impressive and it was clearly a great ambiance. The food, however, is a completely different story. Our dishes all seemed to be done in a hurry and presented really badly, that too in very tiny portions! Some of the dishes were under cooked and bland. The waiter seemed like he had other things on his mind. The prices are not at all reasonable for the quality of food served. Not recommended.

Should go early however, because there may be a long queue and you may end up waiting foe some time. the breakfast had good variety too, particularly impressed with the rose water salad there. This place entices me so much that I am unable not to go this place repeatedly. The decor inside is delightful! The food here is sumptuous and lip smacking, especially the pies which are heartily tangy. It will satisfy all your homemade pie needs in a very amicable atmosphere! You can also buy unbaked pies here at only 7 quid! Highly recommended!

This place really is the epiphany of cool! It has a roof top terrace, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. When you walk in, there is so much choice in the bakery that you want to buy everything. All the food, brownies, bread, and fruit have been freshly made. It is an absolute delight to eat here. The service staff are knowledgeable on their products and are passionate about the food they produce there. I had a breakfast, and from that day onwards i wished all my breakfasts could be like that. Located in trendy Shoreditch, 2 minutes away from Brick Lane, the Albion is an organic bakery that also provides dining in facilities. <br/>At first, the Albion exposes you to its best bread, cookies, brownies and general bakeries. It is actually useful when, due to being a successfully known place, the queue is consequent and you wish to eat while waiting for your table. Something you could also do on your way out. <br/>Their bread is excellent; there is nothing better than a good baguette. Their sausage & mash is I must say rather good. Perfectly cooked sausages alongside with a great puree and decent gravy.<br/>Their coffees and teas are, like in many places in the area, very decently flavoured. <br/>The Albion attracts all sort of customers whether it is a family with young kids, couples, group of friends etc. The service is efficient and fast and the waiters & waitresses are polite, pleasant and serious. <br/>It is in my opinion a renowned and quality-food place to eat at. Whether you come to shop at the bakery or stop for a meal, it is money well spent.
