Applebees

I had not been to Applebee’s in a few years after they removed something I really liked from the menu. When I was scrolling through the list of places that were offering Veteran’s day meals I saw Applebee’s was offering a free meal and gift card to use on a future visit. I went later in the afternoon and the kid working the hostess stand tried to seat me in the bar at a high top. I told him I could not comfortably sit at a high top. For some reason, he found that irritating and told me he could seat me at a regular table but I would have to wait longer for a server. When he said I would have to wait, he was not kidding. After I was seated a couple was seated across the aisle next to me, they were not given any attitude for wanting a table by the kid at the door. Not long after they arrived a server came out and took their drink order, but did not acknowledge I was there. Including myself, there were 3 tables occupied but the server was only attending to the other 2. About 20 minutes after I was seated a server came to my table reeking of cigarette smoke. She told me she had just gotten to work and was surprised someone was already seated in her section. Why would you seat someone in a section that does not have a server when there was a server for the tables next to it? While I sat there I watched as other servers gave the $5 gift cards out but after I left I realized I was not given one. Guess that is a sign that I do not need to return. I typed this review in November and forgot to post it.

Recently moved into the area from Virginia and decided to check out the nearby Applebee's in Loganville. I was seated and waited on promptly and ordered their signature grilled salmon dinner. Substituted a house salad for one of dinner sides for a nominal charge. It was worth it. Tried their signature lemon olive vinaigrette dressing with the salad and it was very tasty. Really enjoyed my salad and meal. The service and atmosphere were both great too. Highly recommended.

Came in a few nights ago and stood at the door for about 10 minutes waiting on someone to notice us and seat us. They were not busy… maybe 3-4 tables occupied. Food was okay at best. Service was lacking, even having the restaurant mostly empty I barely saw anyone and we waited on refills. Would not go back.

Service was ok but my food however came with the paper sheet that separates the pieces of cheese cooked onto the burger. I showed the waitress and they made me a new burger, ok fair enough. The replacement burger came out leaking grease, took a few bites and called it quits. My wife’s $11 salad looked like a slightly larger side salad with a full piece of chicken breast diced. This location was doing better but it seems their cooks and prep teams need some help ASAP.
