Has this changed hands recently? After many good chippy dinners last Saturdays was awful. The chips were quite soggy and poor quality potato lots of black bits. The large fish was more like a small one. Very disappointed.

Service staff were friendly, the shop was in complete chaos ( as it was over run by a large group of very loud teenagers ). Who were not rude - just being high …
After a long drive we stopped here for some lunch, we have 3 children, we got them cod bites & chips, comes in a kiddy box with a drink, plenty of big tasty cod bites! …
Staff were pleasant, that was the only positive takeaway. The food was greasy, warm but had clearly been cooked a while beforehand. Gravy was flavourless too. Portion sizes were tiny too, to the extent where I get the impression they refused to cook more just to ensure a speedy close. Disappointing.
Best chip shop in the area, really nice fresh food. And very polite staff.
