Cracker Barrel

I had no idea what to expect when I went in here, I didn't even know exactly what it was. Out of sheer curiosity I went in with my family and was surprised to see it was not only a restaurant serving some great food it was also a store featuring many unique items. The prices were reasonable the stop was well organized. I walked out with about $20 worth of pop that I've never even heard of before.. for you Americans that sodas 😅

I ordered take out tonight and the food was ready as promised on time. The portions were good for the reasonable priced dinners. My husband & I both had the 2 piece boneless chicken breast dinner with 2 sides. My dumplins were perfect just wish I had just got it as both my sides. The chicken was good slightly dry though. The mashed potatoes were a little dry but the sawmill gravy was great. My husbands side salad was great. It was a good size for a side item. I would definitely order from here again while I'm working in Lima

Our server(Isabella) was great! After she took our orders (10 of us) we were told that six of us couldn’t have what we ordered. We had six children with us and had to figure out what other things they might want. After we finally reordered we were told again they were out of several of those items too. That time we had to reorder three meals. It was over an hour when we were told the first time that what they ordered could not be provided and another 20 before the second time we had to change the orders. When our orders finally began to trickle out we were told several sides were no longer available. Some of us had our sides dumped into our chicken and dumplings (that four of us finally got after changing our orders twice)and some had them put on the side. The waitress was very apologetic through the whole thing and assured us the manager would be out to talk to us. When the manager finally came to the table she went to the opposite side of where the mother sat and said quietly to them if all the food was alright, we said yes because it was hot and fine BUT she already knew what we had been through and never even addressed that, just walked away and left it to the server to keep apologizing and acted like she did something great for us. We were NOT impressed with the manager this time nor the one we had on Wednesday morning when we had to wait for over an hour to eat breakfast with a group of ladies. Again the manager asked about the food but not the waiting period and left it to the server to have to tell us of the mess the kitchen was in. If they don’t have cooks they should not open for service.

Waited 1 hour for food. 3 tables that came after us got their food before us. Went to the manager and said waiting one hour and no food and her response was to look at her I pad and say "it's been 58 minutes." Food was piled high under warmer. She went back and our good was immediately brought out. Unfortunately it had been under the warmer for a long time. We picked at it and left. When cashier asked how everything was I said first time we ever had poor service and in edible food. She said sorry and said my total. Never looked up. Sad

It was very busy last weekend being Mother's Day weekend and Prom but overall service was okay for my Birthday. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed after dropping and shattering one of our drinks but it didn't ruin our night. The lady seating guests was a seasoned employee you could tell, she was quick to help clean up the glass so our server could continue serving.

The terrible service started from the beginning. We were seated at 5:15. Waitress didn’t come to our table for at least 20 minutes. Finally ordered drinks and to make things quicker for them, we ordered at the same time. Didn't get our food for at least an hour. The food that came out was a little to be desired. Sent back a few things to be remade. Came back out maybe 15 minutes later but honestly looked the same. We wanted to speak with the manager. She was less then forth coming. She recommended that we order something else if we didn’t want to wait on it. Made every excuse in the book at why the service was terrible and that we were being unreasonable. I couldn’t believe it. I work in food service and would never say the things she said. She did say she would take a $7 item off the bill but never did. In fact, sent the waitress out to hand us our bill and with no changes. Threatened to calls the cops if we didn’t pay the full bill even though we were going to anyway. Honestly the whole experience turned us off and quite frankly I will never go to this location again.

I ordered over the phone bc online wouldn't take the order without paying for it and I wanted to use cash. I asked for the order to be picked up at a specific time and when I got there the girl had accidentally thrown away my order and forgot all about it. When I finally did get my food they had forgotten about my dessert so they gave that to me without cost which was fair, but when I got home I didn't have my side dish. The food was good, very good, but all together it took out another 30 minutes away from what I needed to have done. I didn't call about my missed side dish because I had already gotten the free dessert.

I just want to say today was the WORST service I have ever had here. We arrived at 1 and it was after 4 when we left. We were told our wait would be an hour. So we waited knowing it would be busy on Sunday after church. After an hour we checked back to see how much longer and were told there were 2 ahead of us. After 3 were called we asked again and were told the same thing and again 3 more were called. We told them we were going to leave so they sat us at a table. Our waitress took our drink order and brought our drinks then took our food order. 45 minutes later I stopped someone to get us refills and at least bring our biscuits and corn bread. About 20 minutes later they brought all of our food except 1 plate saying they had to make new. Upon bringing our food one plate had a hair in it another was wrong mashed potatoes were cold and crusty and the baked potato was raw. I requested to speak to a manager who never showed until asked for the second time. She proceeded to tell us she would see what she could do. She did absolutely nothing!!!!! I will never eat here again. I even said to the guy at the register I understand places are short staffed but 3 hours to get lunch.....ridiculous! He then proceeded to tell me they weren't short staffed. Even worse!!!!
