El Toro opened on Nicholasville Rd just after our family moved to Lexington 20 years ago. It is our family's favorite neighborhood Mexican restaurant. They have 2 for 1 margaritas (and other drinks) most nights, including Saturday. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly! They also have TVs so one can watch UK games while dining.

Ordered delivery via door dash. Ordered veggie fajitas, they were watery and had celery and spinach in the fajitas which gives it a bad flavor. The veggie quesadilla was the same way.

Nice atmosphere. Our food was delicious. I had burritos, husband had the three tacos, granddaughter had fajitas. I traded hubby a burrito for one taco to see how they were. We all cleaned our plates! Their chips were served warm and were so good, and their salsa was yummy! Had buy 1 get one margaritas and we enjoyed them. Great place to eat!

I had a hard time deciding what to order, there are so many great choices on the menu. Patio seating available, and tables on the front lawn in mild weather. Staff are conscientious about wearing masks. Great margaritas; yummy salsa. I will be back there again soon!!
