Thai Siam

This is in response to some of the other good people who have left reviews here for Thai Siam. Please note I'm not discounting other people's experience at TS, However, I think TS is better than some other reviews. First, I've been going to TS for years. They've never gotten my order wrong and given me something I didn't order.. As far as the taste of the food goes, I think it's better than Thai Diner, though I like Thai Diner too. I should add we always get the curry at TS, so I can't speak about the other items on TS's menu because I haven't tried them. I haven't been to Thailand, but I have been to other Thai restaurants in KC area and also several restaurants in "Thai Town" in Los Angeles. TS, at least their curry options, are better than anything else I've had at these other restaurants. This is of course my personal opinion, I'm writing to support a small mom and pop business that could use a little more love. Happy eating!

Food here is amazing when it’s amazing. It can be a little hit or miss. Very authentic street food vibes. Do not attempt to make modifications. Don’t ask questions. Order directly from the menu. Call in your order. Do not arrive early. If it’s not done when you arrive, wait in your car. Leave immediately after getting your food. Do not complain. If you can follow the unspoken rules, you will have a good time here.

I was told that the Thai food at this place was the best in Lawrence for the money, but that the rudeness of management was unsurpassed, as well. My opinion is that the quality and tastiness of the food doesn't come close to the other Thai restaurants. In fact, it was quite bland and amt of rice was insufficient in comparison. The impatience of management is inexcusable. I will not be causing any more stress for the guy, however. One time is sufficient!
