Phillips Drive-in

Very good food reasonable price definitely takes some time to get your order probably about 25 minutes waiting in line. But it's worth the wait. The food is hot when you get it the staff is friendly. And they let you know that your order is going to take a while. The hamburgers are really good a decent sized I would have liked a little bit more. Sadly they were out of onion rings. The malt chocolate milkshake was delicious.

My family, with some very picky kids, had several items from the menu. Jumbo Cheeseburger, Chili Cheese Hot Dog, Frito Pie, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, Chili Cheese Tots, French Fries, and Onion Rings. We found all the food to be delicious other than the hot dogs. Not sure what kin are used but my kids had issues with them being very red and didn't like the taste. Everything else was excellent. We also had shakes for dessert, and all enjoyed the shakes. The only negative is that it took a long time to get the food. I appreciate that it was all made fresh but if I was in a hurry, this would have been a negative. As we are not from the area, we didn't know how long it would take until after we ordered. The food was good and worth the wait, and I would recommend everything other than the hot dogs, unless you know the brand and know you like it.

The first time we stopped the service was slow but the burgers were excellent. The second experience was terrible. Service really slow and then the server gave our order to someone that had ordered after us. He walked to his car and then returned with the package. She then gave him his order. We watched this whole process. Then she called my name and gave me the package she had taken back. When I questioned her about it and asked for fresh burgers she lied about it and denied it was the same package and refused to replace it. Hence after a 45 minute wait we ended up with 2 cold burgers that someone else had handled. Needless to say the burgers ended up in the garbage.

After waiting 40 minutes for our order it was given to the person who ordered after us. He took it to his car and then returned it opened. Then she called my name. When I questioned her about the order being returned she lied and said it wasn't the same one which was bs because we watched the whole process. Bluntly told me it wasn't the same package and refused to replace the order. So to make a long story short after 40 minutes of waiting we ended with 2 cold burgers that someone else had already opened and handled. This place would end up with only one star if it hadn't been for the first good experience. Without the second experience it probably would have gotten a 5 star rating.

3/19/22 Had to do the tourist thing in Laurel. We waited in drive through for 58 minutes. We arrived at 3:10 pm. 6 cars in front of us and got our food at 4:10. Employees in and out with trash smoking cigs never have seen this before. Could have gotten same burgers at Burger King for less $$ why does it take an hour to prepare a burger and fries. I am amazed people go. choc shake was good. I would eliminate from go to places.

No thrills burger, but in a good way. Too many burger places have exotic toppings but don't deliver on the flavor of the beef. This place delivers on beer flavor. Recommend the double patty. It may be a little more than you want but better than being a little short. Great onion rings with the right balance of bread and onion. No huge onion rings, more on the size of a half dollar. Crinkle cut fries were well crinkle cut fries, so nothing spectacular. Seemed the drive thru was prioritized over take out/ dine in. Maybe people called in orders ahead of time, but people came and went before we got ours.
