Pollo Campero

So I stop pass Campero this evening for some chicken to lace over my salad from Shoppers Food grocery store. This is my 3-5 visit to this location and I don’t recommend you visit this location if your traveling home from work. I ordered a (3 piece white/rice/chicken empanada). The empanada was not in the bag when I arrived home (the other side of Laurel). I am tempted to drive back over there but it’s been a long day at work so NO! I didn’t save my receipt so I’ll probably have hassle from the manager when I revisit tomorrow evening for some semblance of “complete service”. This is the second time my order was not complete and I’m DONE with these folks. I KNOW “it’s fast food” but—-SO WHAT!

At 5:00 PM on NYE I went into the Laurel location for an order of 30 wings my wife ordered over the phone for a 4:30 PM pick up. I get there, someone on staff is outside stopping people from going in, saying they are not taking orders. I explained I'm picking up and she let's me in. I go in and it's complete mayhem. I spend 25 mins giving staff the name on my order. They sort of looked and eventually told me to go to the cashier and pay. I give her the name and she tells me it will be a 2 hour and 15 min wait. 🤯 She stated two machines were down. All the customers inside were polite and orderly there were just so many of us trying to get our orders. I go outside some guy that had been waiting was now in the back of an ambulance. The parking lot it backed up onto Route 1. I left and went to Chick N' Friends instead. I'll be back to Pollo Campero, but that day was nuts.

The food is great when you find what you want. More than three times have been there and something is missing now and in the past, sometimes you cannot have breast chicken, sometimes they have run out of chicken since they opened this has been always an issue. The personel at the registers and given out food are good, they are attentive. The lines are always long, we have dine in a few times in the past before COVID-19 pandemic started, the restaurant is always under staffed. I wish they could keep up cleanliness in the restaurant tables. So sorry to mention that the restrooms are in deplorable conditions, one time a friend who was with us complained and the manager said something in the lines of: " take it or leave it" I think they should do a better job at keeping them clean, specially with COVID galloping still in 2022.

Que mala calidad! Hoy compramos campero beans but it was more water beans , not a single bean in it, who does quality control for campero? Every time I purchase I pay a lot of money for something that shall be delicious and fantastic to get and eat? However no one from this franchise will ever pay attention to it! Sad 😤
