Cakes Plus

My husband had ordered a birthday cake for me from Cakes Plus before, so it was his turn. ^_^ They did an awesome job, with both the decorations and the taste! You can't tell very well from the photo, but it was like an actual tome. I was nervous about the fondant, but it was delicious. Overall, it was a huge hit!

I placed an order for a vanilla cake with butter cream filling for a surprise birthday party for someone that really enjoys that type of cake. The order was very detailed and was thoroughly reviewed by the staff. However, after the surprise and upon cutting the cake, there was no butter cream filling. Spoke to the manager and owner and was offered an apology and 6 cupcakes or the $8 difference in the price of the cake. So you place an order, pay for it in advance, pick it up, get home and they’ve made a mistake. I paid for something I did not order. I guess only professional organizations or restaurants with class would offer a reorder or a refund. I could have ordered a vanilla cake from anywhere. So support a company during a tough time and the company gives you what they want, not what you ordered. How do you know if the company didn’t just give you what they wanted to? Did they cut corners? Clearly this company doesn’t put the customer first. Very disappointed and will not trust an order from Cakes Plus again.
