The service was was excellent and so were the drinks. The chicken snitchzel that I ordered was fresh and cooked to order. My only criticism would be using fish batter for breaded fish on chicken. That was definitely a first for me, because I thought chicken snitchzel was coated in breadcrumbs. However, apart from my meal my friend enjoyed the burger.

Really great food here, my partner had the Fish and Chips and I had a Goats Cheese and Beetroot Salad. Both were delicious and really good value for money. Great place, friendly people and very good value for money. I would certainly recommend.

I've only been living here a few months, but Chekkers is now my local weekend haunt, great staff ! Lager is lovely. I've tried every brand, and I never had a bad one! Enjoy an odd cocktail now & again, I've not tried the food yet, but the restaurant area is always busy, I'll try it for myself soon, always smells great! They also have great DJs & bands too! x

Regular in this hostelry, best Guinness in the larne! (I should know 😜) good to see the menu is being updated with specials available every day now from soup/toasties, fish and chicken meals as well. And the main menu does different choices as well. Give it a go and mention the guru sent you, the staff will know what you mean! 😂

Delicious food and fantastic service!! Loved the seafood chowder and fish n chips, but the best bit was the homemade chocolate orange cheesecake 🤩 staff were SUPER friendly. If we weren’t knackered from our bike ride, we would have loved to have chatted to them more over a drink at the bar.
Would definitely recommend!

Excellent food and service. Went in for Christmas Dinner and had a Mushroom Wellington (Vegan Friendly). Also tried the veg curry and it was incredible.
Thank you so much for the hospitality! Was a pleasant surprise to find a chef who could cater for our dietary requirements without having to sacrifice flavor. Highly recommended.

Food is exceptional. Service is very good although a little slow if it is really busy. Excellent choice of drinks at the bar- large range of beers, ciders, wine and spirits. Not expensive. Few steps inside so might be tricky for wheelchair users. No parking outside (narrow street) but lots of parking nearby.

Not a fancy place but the food and service is excellent. Went today for lunch and tried the smoked cod with champ and creamed leeks which was delicious, hubby had the Thai chicken curry with chips which was also very very good. Reasonable prices and good portions. Monday to Friday from 12 to 5 they do lunches for £5 from a choice of 5 dishes. Would definitely recommend this place.
