J's Peapod

I have been ordering from this restaurant a long time and the food is always fresh and tasty. Today however...I will NEVER order here again. I'm not sure if it's under new ownership or what but the guy was rude on the phone and I ordered spicy combination rice...there was not a drop of spice added. They brought me a new order and it was worse than the first. Not only was there no spuce...the rice tasted old and greasy. The crab Rangoon tasted overly sweet and oily. Very disgusted and disappointed. Sad to say, they have lost a long time customer.

Menu is great. I came to this location multiple times. Had no problems with food. Yesterday I ordered sea food fried rice and while eating I found big peace of clear plastic bag all melted and looking disgusting if I could I would give it minus million star review Disquieting. Might as well spit all over my food it would be same thing. Won't be coming here any more

Omg I was in Phoenix IL and decided to look up a 5 star Chinese restaurant and I got a big surprise. The food was excellent. The chicken fried rice was delicious and the beef and broccoli was superb. The beef was tender and the sauce was delicious. I’m from Peoria IL and can’t wait to get back to Lansing for more. This is the place to come. I love it.

I have ordered from this place for years and have rarely been disappointed. Once they have me the wrong order and came back with the correct order and told us to keep the incorrect one. The delivery is always prompt and the food warm. One of the managers got to know my husband and was very nice when I told him he was sick. The quality has not changed. There is always room for improvements that’s why I did not rate 5 stars. I am well pleased.
