Food was amazing, servers weren't "stuffy" like you can see in some higher-end dining. For the price point I did expect some bread. Any acknowledgement of our anniversary would've been nice, not sure why they asked if they weren't going to do anything with that information. Would definitely go again though, great date night spot!

I had an early Christmas dinner with 9 co-workers. Everything was perfect from reservations to dessert. Our food was awesome with a nice presentation. (I wish I would have taken a picture) The steak was perfect, it was cooked just right with a lot of flavor. The cocktails were a hit, they are not cheap on the alcohol like some other places. Even though I was full I had to get a dessert (why not indulge once in awhile) trust me it's a must. The service was great. All of my co-workers had the same opinion as I do.

I mixed up my reservation and showed up a day early. They were very helpful and polite. They offered that I could either come back the next day or if I wanted I could be seated at the bar today since I was already there.
I chose to sit at the bar. The staff were all polite and helpful. They gave great suggestions, and every item I tried was fantastic.
The cocktails were great as well. They have a very nice bar service in place.
Finally, the desserts were rich and unique. We went with seasonal options and were happy with both selections.

I’ve been here several times for both special occasions and just a night out. One of the best spots in Lansing. Great food, great cocktails, great service. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time together with friends at the Chop house. Our food came out very hot and quick and it was cooked perfectly to our order. We had a great experience with our wait staff. Shout out to Rachel (I hope I remembered her name correctly) and to Brian for a great professional experience with wonderful recommendations and advice.

An accidental wander in, a warm welcome and one of the best steaks I've ever eaten.
I was just looking for simple bar food, I found something entirely different. It feels like a local bar, it's warm, inviting and fun. What I didn't expect was the quality of food. The KC strip was perfectly Medium Rare and well seasoned. The Au Gratin potatoes were delicious. The beer was cold, delicious and plentiful.
Service was top notch, and the regulars sitting at the bar were excellent company. I won't be going there every day, but for a treat in Lansing, you can't do much better.

Where to start? We were seated before our reservation time, the coursed food was incredible and well paced and the service was impeccable. I had the bone in Filet Mignon whereas my wife had the boneless Filet. We split the potatoes au gratin and grilled Caesar salad. We weren't sure what to expect with the grilled salad, and I think the best way we summarized it together was "interestingly good". The steaks were cooked perfectly, served on a super hot plate so even a rare steak wouldn't cool off before finishing. We finished off with the brownie covered in ganush drizzled in caramel. A+ dining experience.

Bowdies is outstanding! Our 5 star experience started with our server Paul. He was friendly and attentive. We split the Wedge Salad and it was plenty. The Filet with mushrooms and Bowdies sauce was terrific. Pecan Cheesecake for dessert was delicious.

What an experience! It was our first time dining at Bowdies. We made reservations and were given our choice of tables in the cozy dining room. The restaurant soon filled up, but it did not seem crowded or noisy. The service was very personal and focused on our tastes and total experience. Our waiter Paul advised us on menu options including portion sizes and what specialties Bowdies is especially known for. The woman server kept our drinks filled and treated us really nicely too. We received a large double fudge cake to share since it was our anniversary. It was an amazing leisurely dining experience. The steak, the sides, and the staff made our experience extra special!

I visited Bowdies for the first time recently. I have been trying to get here since 2018 ish, as I work in Lansing, but l commute over an hour to work and am usually rushing to make it home after working all day. I'm glad I finally made it here! The service was great! I had the filet with mashed potatoes and a side of greenbeans! My steak and sides were good. I also tried the shrimp bisque, which was also good. However, I had the crab cake appetizer, and it was amazing! I've tried crabcakes in a lot of restaurants, even in Maryland, and this was hands down thee best crabcake I've ever eaten! I'll be back!
