Good Ol Buffet

In the area visiting Great Wolf with the Kiddos & want some home cooked food. Found this place & the reviews are not true. Well maybe just not what I know to be your southern cooking. Let’s say the sweet tea, corn bread & fried chicken was the best thing to southern cooking. The rest was right out the frozen department or can foods. They would have done better if they used the banquet Mac & Cheese instead of what they had very watery. There is also a smell of a dirty mop or something that hit my nose but I said let’s give it a try anyways in which that usually would have turned me back out the door. Mash potatoes was instant by the way. I gave it a 2 start b/c the staff was very friendly & helpful good customer service but it’s not your real style southern or soul food you are looking for. Pics I put small amounts on the plate & tried to pull from the corner of pan that didn’t help. My husband told me let’s move here you would put them out of business real quick lol.

I had this place for the first time Sunday (01/31/22) with my father. We both loved the food there especially the chicken, corn, and pineapple. We both ate until we got full. The waitresses there are so polite, attentive, and friendly. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a good soul food meal. You can’t beat the buffet price of $12 not to mention they have the best sweet tea I have ever tasted. I didn’t get any pictures because I was too busy trying to stuff my face 😂

It's good, I always enjoy eating here. And its reasonably priced, under $13 for an entire buffet. I think they have the best tasting fried chicken in town, it's seasoned to perfection. The service here is usually good too. The only negative thing that I have to say is that I really wish that Good Ol Buffet was in another location with better parking. Because when it gets busy here it's hard to find a park and some of the other businesses next door have signs posted telling you not to park in their spaces. The parking lot in front of the buffet is small and feels cramped.

They got all the food you need to get right.. big selection of meats, vegetables, dessert, and fruit.. the sweet tea ok, but it's probably who made it the day I went. The folks deh real friendly and homey.. it will get crowded on Sunday but most other days straight. Just go through deh, you'll like it
