From the escargot, onion soup, to the profiteroles everything was excellent and superior. The staff provides a great description of the featured dishes; always friendly and confident; provide answers to questions and obtains alternatives with allergy issues. Flavors are properly melded and distinct to the individual dishes. A great place to take visitors.

We absolutely luv a nice, casual French bistro experience and Bistro du Marché didn’t disappoint! Our server, Tomas was excellent, definitely knew the menu well and easy very helpful! They had so many amazing items on the menu, it was hard to decide, so I let him pick for me and he did a great job! Their grilled shrimp “cocktail” appetizer is highly recommended… it’s not the typical shrimp cocktail tho, it’s grilled with an amazing sauce and a small, tasty salad. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and prepared! Wine list is very nice here too, and save room for dessert, there’s plenty worth trying! Highly recommend making reservations for a really good dinner here!

Found this little gem when I was scrambling to find a good restaurant for my husband's birthday while we were in town doing a work thing. Everything We had was delectable, and we've tried a few french restaurants. Our waiter Julien was so attentive & gave great recommendations when I was torn between dishes. We had the fried swiss puffs, Duck Confit, and the lamb chops and the pavlova. I'm definitely coming back!!

France in the middle of La Jolla! How lucky we are ? Amazing bartender , unbelievable service and food ? Crisp French bread , shrimp appetizer, French onion soup and duck confit and dessert oh boy ! Truly unbelievable experience, our favorite French restaurant in San Diego, add it to your 2023 dining list !

Unreal food! Fresh ingredients, delicious- absolutely delish! Highly recommended. We ordered salad de tomate, burrata, basil & olives for a starter. The branzino, Coq que Vin de Bourgogne and For dessert we got the Meringue which was mind blowing delish! One of my favorite restaurants in SD hands down.

I and my friend dined in at this lovely restaurant for the first time for their tasting menu, and we absolutely loved every single bite of each dish, from the beginning to the end. The service was great, very attentive. Can't wait to have more amazing experience there again next time. Highly recommend this place for whatever occasion 👍🥂

Went for dinner on Monday night with some friends. This is probably the best French food I have had in San Diego (which honestly is not saying much). Most of the French restaurants we have tried in town range from disappointing to deplorable. However, Bistro du Marche was just South of really good. All the food was prepared using Quality ingredients and everything was cooked well. You can expect to spend about $85 per person for a drink and appetizer and entree and the desert. Well worth the price for a meal of this quality. The portions are generous, especially for a French restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service professional, attentive and friendly.
