Every time we went past here - it was busy, so we finally stopped by for an early dinner. Their tacos are amazing - specifically the Al Pastor, Baja, and Sonora. The carne asada fries are delicious and filling. Some of the best food we have had in the San Diego area and highly recommended!

Whenever we're near La Jolla, we stop by The Taco Stand - hands down the best tacos in town! It's busy, but well worth the wait! I recommend the El pastor and Carne asada tacos, the loaded French fries, and the sauces - try them all.

Loved the happening ambiance of this place. When we arrived there was a long line and the energy and speed in the open kitchen was fun to watch. The mushroom quesadillas was amazing. The sauce bar had a vast variety of sauces from mild to very hot and added loads to the flavour. I liked that they had a corn on the cob also. We had it without mayonnaise and it was great! The prices were very reasonable for the portion size. It would be wise to order online if you don't plan to eat there.

Restaurant has indoor and out door seating area. Sunset could be seen from front of the restaurant. Delicious food specially the french fries. There was a long line but moved fast.

If I could, I would give six stars for the food. The Baja fish tacos were by far THE BEST tacos I’ve ever had in my life. The fish was extremely crispy and fresh, and the chipotle sauce was a perfect mix of cool and spicy. The chips were fresh and delicious as well as the guacamole. The wait was out the door and down the street, but it was 100% worth it.

I stumbled upon this gem after a watching the sunset at La Jolla, and it turned out to be the perfect ending to a beautiful evening.
The tacos here are absolutely top-notch - hands down the best I've had in La Jolla. They were packed with flavor and freshness, and each bite was a burst of delight.
What truly set this place apart for me was the self-serve salsa station. You can customize your tacos with a variety of salsas to suit your taste, and that added an extra layer of fun to the dining experience.
The combination of great tacos and the post-sunset ambiance made this visit unforgettable. If you're in the area and craving tacos, this spot is a must-visit!
It does get a little busy though but worth the wait

Delicious tacos and massive burritos at a pretty cheap price. There is indoor and outdoor seating available but it’s best to try and snag a spot just before you order your food because it fills up quick. It took us about an hour from the moment we got there until we got our food on a Sunday around Noon.

Best tacos ever. We were 3 days in SD. We ate there 4 times. It's so good I'll miss this restaurant when we'll go back to Canada. The Al pastor is so great we also tried the corn , all fish tacos and the churros. They need to open a branch in Montreal !

Waiting in their line is worth it! As a Mexican food consumer since birth, this place (in La Jolla of all places) is legitimately delicious. I couldn't believe the line didn't end the entire time we were there. It was longer when we left but totally worth it. The churros are made fresh but a little too dough-y for my taste. We still bought some but didn't finish them, the condensed milk dipping sauce is heavenly. The carne asada, adobada, and Sonora taco were a hit. My fish taco was amazing! The guacamole was okay, needed some salt and lime and maybe some quick but they are appealing to a wider audience so I can see why they make it so bland. Their salsa bar has a lot of options and they are all yummy. This place has earned its spot in my taco place collection ❤️
