Koy Restaurant

My experience here was nothing less than exceptional. Koy's has been in business here for 11 years and for a family restaurant, started by the father of the household, and continued on by his legacy of children, they have certainly flourished into a magnificent business. The food is all freshly made in-house and they even have their own recipes. I have never had such fresh tasting chinese food. They also have a full bar with a wonderful ambience to it.

I’ve ordered more than in the picture, but then my meals came out immensely disappointed. Can you enjoy your meal with such a bowl of soup? I do not recommend it and will never come back, I will tell my friends to don't come also. Make sure you guys READ 1-star reviews before you choose to come! 0 star for the foods 100%

The atmosphere is nice and in the city of Kyle, it’s one one of the only (if not only) sushi places. If you don’t want to drive into Austin, then it’ll do. The sushi didn’t have much options, your typical Americanized sushi with lots of cream cheese to give it flavor. If it was just the sushi I would give it 4 stars because of the location and at least serving the community and offering something different then what’s around. However… the Chinese food is totally off. It’s.l not flavorful at all. The walnut shrimp was totally bland and generic. The place has lots of potential and no real competition, it should take advantage and make itself a staple in the community.

The staff was hard working, professional, and friendly. Quick service. The food is where the mixed review comes in. For me, some of the food was great while other items not so much. The egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken and teriyaki beef were excellent. The general S chicken was good. The fried rice was more like white Rice with soy sauce than fried rice. The pork ribs were more hard fat than meat and did not seem fresh. They were more like left over from the day before and reheated. I will most likely be back but careful what I order.

I've had a really good experience with Koy for the first time. I don't usually write reviews, but after meeting Jun, Wayne, and Grace who work there, I figured it'd be helpful to leave this review. They're awesome people. I went by myself, and it definitely delivered! Food was good (Shrimp & Vegetables), portions were good as well. I had a good view outside, and privacy too. For a quick and easy eating experience with Asian cuisine, I definitely applaud Koy and it's family!

It was okay. We tried it because the reviews are pretty good, and a lot of our coworkers have gone here and like it. The people were really nice and the food was ready on time. The prices are okay. The food itself was okay. The rice was over cooked, so it was mushy. I've had better fried rice at other restaurants. This one could use some more salt and pepper and maybe some chicken stock. The sesame shrimp was alright. The portion sizes are very generous, I can appreciate that! I just think that overall, the food could use some more flavor or seasoning.

The service was good. Friendly staff, yummy food. I still wish the fried rice had anything in it at all, even just mixed vegetables, but at least they were upfront about it and that I appreciated. I heard that asking for habanero sauce is the way to get ungodly amounts of heat in your dish...I'll be back to try it out. Otherwise they were easy to get chili oil and Sriracha from which did the trick pretty well. The shrimp were excellent, big juicy gulf shrimp 🍤 and the sauces and dishes were done well, if not spicy hot 🌶.
