Kalamba Misal

Visited this place to try out misal. Taste was very good. Quantity was very good. Rassa was tasty. They provide separate matki along with potato and shev chivda. They also provide curd with misal. Also tried solkadhi after misal which was refreshing. Service was quick and prompt. Good option to try out for misal in Kolhapur. Plenty of parking is available outside.

A local relative took me here for breakfast. It's a small casual dining place. It was pretty crowded. As we were around 8 members, we had to wait for a while to get tables. The service was pretty quick. They serve Misal with bread. Misal is a popular dish in Kolhapur and, it was very tasty. They serve dry bhaaji and Farsan and then provide an unlimited quantity of Rassa (gravy). The Rassa is added to dry bhaaji with Farsan and raw Onion sprinkled on top, eaten with bread. The bread felt a bit sweet, but I just couldn't stop eating the Misal. Overall, a must visit place for Misal in Kolhapur. The place is slightly away from the city. I found another restaurant by same name in the city, which is most probably a different one, hence do note the location properly.

The combination of great food, fantastic flavors, and the warmth of the people running this place makes it a must-visit. One of the best missal i have tried in kolhapur, though i don't believe the fact that they serve slice bread with missal and batata (potato) too, which is not the ideal missal combo. It should be sprouts and a curry with liquid consistency, mix with shev and serve with ladi pav, thats how the missal should be served. Anyway Missal outside nashik is just like kuch bhi... But one thing i must say, this was one of the best missal i have ever tasted in Kolhapur. The spice amount the Rassa was the best.
