I can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay. But other than that, we loved it. We were at a wedding.

I wish I had taken a picture of the food before I demolished it but it was just too gorgeous. The salmon dish was possibly the best thing I have ever eaten, clearly the chief is exceptional! The team here are so friendly and professional too, made our evening feel so intimate and special.

A nice country hotel, within convenient distance of Kendal. It is at the entrance of the Southern Lakes region of the Lake District. The hotel is a converted English countryside mansion, and therefore bears the hallmarks of a romanticised rendition of staying in the English countryside. From what I can tell it is a popular wedding venue.
Check-in was quick and friendly.

Lovely hotel set in a deer park, dog friendly. Could do with a bit of a spruce up but was nice! Absolutely had a vintage feel.
The staff were very friendly & welcoming, especially the front of house staff.

Great hotel. Very well located just off the dual carriageway. Incredible interiors and fantastic service. This hotel punches well above its weight for the price and the photos online don’t do it justice. Also child friendly and very accommodating
