Pepper Twins

We definitely enjoyed the pickled fish and the spicy chicken. The food is great and if you want face numbing food, this is the place to go. However, the prices are a bit high, You could probably find a place that is a dollar or 2 cheaper per dish. Also I think that the service is great, but the prices are a bit much for the type of food that it is.

We went on a Saturday in the afternoon after it opened again at 4:30 pm. We tried 3 dishes: Sesame chicken, Twin pepper steak and Twin pepper chicken. The food was alright in the sense that I didn’t experience the Sichuan’s kick of peppercorn but it wasn’t americanized Chinese food either. Steak was the best out of the three dishes. I had to request the hot oil peppers to add to the Twin pepper chicken to get the spicy kick. The service was alright too. The plates are each $15 but two people can comfortably eat the quantity in each plate. Cheers!

We were glad we finally got around to trying this place. I've not been to other Pepper Twins, and didn't do any homework, just dropped in, so didnt know what to expect other than Chinese, and l assumed shesuan from the name. No pictures on the menu, just lots of product names, many unfamiliar. So the wife and I had to ask lots of questions. So my wife ordered Mongolian beef with 2 dollars more to add mushrooms, and I ordered the Pepper Twins sauteed chicken, with green beans added for another 2 Prices were higher than expected but the food was really good, and portions enough that we took some with us when we left.

Over all great experience. I've been to 2 other locations and there service and quality here is just as good. My only complaint is that the Katy location did not have the golden eggplant dish which is one of my favorites at the locationso Kirby and City center, as well as at cooking girl. Otherwise it would have rated 5 star.
