Mo's Place

One of the best-managed live music venues in town. Friendly staff, good service, lots of parking (including valet). Love that they answer the phone and will allow table reservations!! Cover charge usually $8-10 but may be more for special music artists...check their website. You can usually buy tickets online. Some smoking allowed in back by pool tables, but you don't usually smell it by the large dance floor and band stand. Friendly, diverse crowd...never feels unsafe or unruly. All ages 21-80. Wear anything from boots to high heels....not strictly C&W attire. Friendly bartenders and good service. Overall I love this venue. If I could change anything it would be to turn down the music (especially DJ portions) so people can converse more easily... especially before the band goes on. All DJs and sound guys (not just here) seem to be deaf and set music too loud. We're here to socialize...that means talk (not shout) and drink. Background music should be just that...in the background. I would also enjoy more line dance songs before and between sets. Line dance lessons, and two-step lessons would be fun too.

I used to visit very often between 2001 and 2004 after work at Katy Mils with co workers and friends. Great sound at the event Oct 12 2023, we went to see Los Pericos an Argentinian Reggae/Ska Music Band. Bar crew was pretty good and fast Prices for beer and drinks were expensive but in 2023 after Covid everything is, they should push and advertise some drink specials. Staff is friendly. Place is clean and spacious. As an observation I would love to see less lights ON at the time of show so the crown could have a better experience of band, LED Screen and Robotic Light show. Thanks

Great bar and venue. We went last night to see Aaron Watson. This place felt like an old school honky tonk. Beer was ice cold and the nachos were pretty good. Pricing for a bar wasn’t bad. For 2 beers and 2 cocktails plus the nachos, it was under $40. Can’t complain! I also thought it was cool that the owner, Mo was visible throughout the night greeting patrons.

Classic, local venue, great for dancing, watching sports, listening to great music esp. on weekends. Very friendly service. Bar tenders know our names and our drinks. Best free C&W dance lessons in the Metroplex on Thursdays at 7pm with Glenn Bertrand and Done Deal Dancing. He is a great teacher and has great assistants. Their food is always good, quesadillas, sliders, sandwiches, fries.

Always had been a place to meet with friends and make more. I love the music and dancing!! I love MO’s place, this time I just stop at Houston to visit family and I can’t missed to go to my favorite spot. An oh course as always i had a blast!! I enjoyed to see old friends. What a great band !! I really recommend this place. Even that I go by my self is a fun and safe place 🤗

I'd seen the huge crowd of cars in the parking lot and finally made it in. It's a clean, well run, dive, dance bar - dance floor, stage, pool tables, multiple bars on busy nights... I'll bet it's really hopping on Saturday night. I got chips and queso, the chips were cold but the queso was tasty. Plenty of TVs to watch games.
