Applebee's

My friend and I came around noon on a Tuesday, it was pretty quiet. Our server was Jordan (who was AWESOME). The food came out fast and was done perfectly. We ordered the two for 22 and wanted to split the check since I had cash and my friend had a card. Jordan was quick to come back to apologize and explain that he was unable to split it (my guess is that the two for 22 is technically one priced item in their system). Thankfully I was able to pay some of our check with cash and my friend paid the rest with her card. Thank you Jordan for making this visit a great experience all around!

Great food, amazing view! The photos online don't do it justice, this is a great establishment inside and out. Food had great flavor and good sized portions. Waitstaff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. There was nice timing between courses; we didn't feel rushed nor inconvenienced with waiting. I had imagined the dining room would have been larger, but in reality it's rather quant and I found it to be delightfully intimate. I had a spectacular time and look forward to coming back.

I arrived at a very busy time of day on a Saturday night. I waited about 30 minutes or so for a table. I didn't like the food very much. I ordered a strawberry lemonade which had a funky taste - definitely from some kind of mix. I ordered a Southwest chipotle bowl with black bean and corn salsa, cilantro rice and pico de Gallo. It also had tortilla strips in it. It was too spicy for me and I didn't care for the rice and tortilla strips combination. Since they were so busy, I had to have my waitress tracked down to cash out. I wouldn't order it again.

On Wednesday May 11, 2022, my son took me out for a belated birthday/ mother's day dinner. I chose Applebee's in Johnstown, N.Y. I ordered the 8oz. sirloin plate with mashed potatoes & fries. My cut of sirloin was, literally, in the shape of a triangle and was about 2 1/2 inches high by 2 1/2 long. I ordered medium rare but got well done !!! I don't like well done at all. It was 2 1/2 high but tapered down to nothing. Crunchy at the end of it too. Told my son that I'll never go back there again. My name is Cindy Shutts.
