On our visit prompted by Johnny Cash's 'Jackson' we came across this great café. We had a roast beef and cheese press which was delicious. The lovely volunteers explained the concept to us which was that healthy food should be available to all regardless whether they can afford to pay. Suggested amounts of donations are made, those that cannot pay, work for an hour in exchange for food. The whole place is run by volunteers of which there were many. The kind young ladies also made suggestions for our upcoming visit to St Louis which was very appreciated.

ComeUnity Café - to feed -to love- to dignify. Says it clearly & they do! Friendly, inviting atmosphere & great folks serving delicious creative soups, salads & sandwiches. Each day choice of 2 of each. I love the Grilled Havarti cheese with apple slices on gluten free for me! Austin’s soups are amazing & Bo is just as sweet. Salads are just as creative & I love Spring Mix & different lettuces. Open from 11-2, M-F. Can contact them for a special event or fundraiser.

Awesome CONCEPT for serving food.. My husband and I dined there today because we have heard nothing but good reviews about this place. We love the concept of dining with a relaxed atmosphere, healthy food and made fresh, and for a SUGGESTED donation of $5, $7 or $9. The folks were friendly, they even had their kids involved which is awesome and it was really clean. We did have issue with the fact they were out of tea at 1:30 and if we didn't like coffee, which we don't we were out of luck. But they did bring ice water from the back.<br/><br/>We called early in the day to check the selections and although they were already out of what we went for the substitution was just as good I am sure. Soups are healthy and delicious, loved the idea of fresh fruit wash tubs in the middle of the tables as well. We sliced and ate an apple with our meal and that was really a nice touch.<br/><br/>The sandwiches & soup was excellent in taste and flavor, and also FRESH & healthy. We definitely will recommend them to all our friends. Good food prepared fresh, made healthy and clean & friendly atmosphere gets my vote all around. The ComeUnity idea is a TOP NOTCH idea and I hope they are around for a very long time.

Best new restaurant. I have lived in Jackson for almost 8 years, and I believe this is one of the best new places that I have seen. The concept is refreshing. The menu is unique to this town, every time I go I look forward to what combinations they have chosen for that day. The variety is great, but the food and presentation is excellent!. The owner is there every day, the staff is always smiling and helpful. And it is making a contribution to Jackson, not just trying to make money.

ComeUnityCafe-Jackson, TN. There are so many good things to say about ComeUnity Café: good food, pleasant atmosphere, good philosophy, great people. Come and check it out. What a great idea: if you cannot afford to pay, work an hour at the restaurant and you will have a great, healthy meal and be around by some very positive, loving folks. God bless y'all!

Gourmet lunch + benevolence. If you enjoy gourmet soup, sandwiches, salads and the ABSOLUTE BEST cup of coffee in Jackson, you have to make ComeUnity Cafe one of your regular stops. And that doesn't even begin to address how good you will feel after having lunch there. What a wonderful idea not only to help feed people who are needy, but to also show them that we are all in this together. It's not like just writing a check to a charity, It's an offering to share a meal, one of the most basic functions of human kindness and "family" that so many of us take for granted, and one that many people don't have. Delicious food, and a big dose of humaneness. I love it!
