Blaze Pizza

Blaze. What can I say? You can hardly go wrong at one of these places -- it's part of a much larger chain and has a commitment to quality. There's a lot of pizza spots in the area, like Woodstock's or Domino's, but Blaze manages to maintain it's individuality with their custom crafted pizzas and overall freshness. I love the pizzas made here, and it's a great place to go for a good meal.

Such a cute pizza place right in the downtown area of the university. Definitely has a college vibe. Very clean & friendly staff w outdoor seating in front w heaters & umbrellas. There's a parking lot about a block up to park in, but there is also a few spaces on side of building I didn't realize I could park in as well. Definitely recommend.

This review is of the Blaze Franchise. Blaze Pizza is the new "Subway" of Pizza. Subway was very popular when it was new in the 80's until consumers realized its was made with cheap, unhealthy ingredients and was not the sandwich they once thought. Blaze Pizza will follow that exact same path. It's a franchise that uses very low quality ingredients that require no skill to produce and the end result is a cheap pizza. They do not make pizza by hand but rather use a press machine for lack of skill or knowledge in the pizza making process. This is what franchises do. They teach inexperienced operators to produce cheap products while they collect a percentage of your gross sales. The dough does not have a proper fermentation time as they have limited space and time to produce a properly fermented dough ball. The result is a spongy dough that lacks crispness and good flavor. The toppings do not taste or appear fresh and would be considered the cheapest toppings that can put on a pizza. Understand that franchise made pizza will always be made with the cheapest ingredients using the least skilled process. Just think Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Caesar's and soon to be Blaze Pizza. This franchise has no passion for producing a quality pizza but rather a desire to make a quick buck producing another lousy, franchise product.
