Lime Bar Kitchen

I am in town for a workshop so I decided to get some hot pho for lunch. The closest place is like bar and kitchen. It was disappointing. My table felt sticky and the decor was meh. The green lights hanging from the ceiling remind me of an airport parking garage. The food itself is just okay. I've had far more flavorful pho before. The helping size is average but honestly I wouldn't want more of it. The service is poor. It took quite a while for me to get my lunch. When j finished my drink I waited a good 10 minutes to catch my server again who was honestly only about 10 feet away the whole time. When he came by I requested more soda and he responded by bringing me my check. Which he didn't even say thanks for coming in or make any eye contact with me for. They were also out of any local beer. I was there during the lunch hour. Incredibly disappointing. No drink menu for the bar as well. I don't recommend this place. I wish I had eaten at the airport instead. Pass this place for something else.

I've decided that Lime Bar is filling in as my new "Pho District" now that I'm rarely in Fort Worth. It's kinda got that Vietnamese Thai fusion vibe going on. It's newly opened and right off Royal near MacArthur. I had the tofu spring rolls which I really enjoyed and the curry pho with chicken, which had a lot of cilantro. I wasn't used to that in curry, but I'm normally a cilantro fan so it was fine. The serving on that curry pho is ginormous so unless you're pregnant with twins or Dirk Nowitzki's uncle, you could easily split it two ways or three ways or have couple meals using your leftovers. Another idea is to get their CUP of pho as opposed to a bowl. It looks like the perfect size for just one (or me at least). They have a spring roll sampler (shrimp, chicken and some other meat or fish I don't eat) and also avocado & mango rolls. I was very pleased with my tofu spring rolls, which are served with a thick peanut sauce. My beverage of choice was the jasmine tea. I like to get a side of honey with it. They also serve green tea. The reason this could be my pho district "fill in" is because I usually go between the curry pho or vermicelli (which they both serve) and avocado spring rolls but their avocado rolls are very different at these restaurants. Both have the hot tea offerings as well, but Lime Bar has a variety of flavored cold teas/lemonade so that's exciting. Since it was a group of us cold natured office ladies and the weather was so nice, we decided to dine outside on the patio. It was a beautiful day out. Other menu items that caught my eye: vermicelli, chicken pho, fried rice, salmon, fried noodles, zucchini noodles. They also have pad thai and a tapas section. Prices are decent. The service was great. Everyone was very attentive. I might even be interested in checking out their HH one day which is 3-7p. Lime Bar & Kitchen is worth a visit if you live, work or visit Irving.

They did not just change the name, they change the ingredients of the pho here. Before the name change this was one of the most flavorful bowls of pho I have had. I loved it and recommended it to many people. Since they changed the name and look I have been 3 times, and I have been disappointed each time. The service and atmosphere were great, but they lost what made the place special.

I had my colleague grab pho 🍲 to go for me. My only request was Chicken, no onions, and mild. The bowl was HUGE and well prepared and very well presented. I was impressed with the fresh basil 🌿 leaf garnish, lime wedges, with the brown and red sauces on the side so I could add my own heat as desired. It sat for a couple hours before I could eat it, but it was still great. I was given instructions not to heat the noodles 🍝 but instead to heat the broth to a hot and heat the large chicken pieces or I risk mushy noodles (which is precisely how I would’ve done it without intervention) and doing it that way made it as if I was there eating onsite. I may need to send another special request for lunch today!!! I’m now addicted!!! Thanks bunches!! 🙌 😋

ordered on uber eats. the pho was ok but the noodles were way over done to a point that they fell apart when trying to make it from the bowl to your mouth. also got the mango avocado rolls and they were disgusting. they tasted like chemicals, like they were fried in some sort of cleaner. I feel like I should go have my stomach pumped just in case I've been poisoned, the taste is that bad. Will never ever eat here again.

So the only reason I'm giving it 3 starts is because the food itself was decent but when you have a full bar you shouldn't have to explain to the bartender what you mean my whisky 'neat'. The service was lacking, I had to get their attention to be seated, take my order and refill my drink despite there being only one other party in the restaurant. The food wasn't great enough for crummy service.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was in a group of four. We ordered our food together. The waitress brought everyone’s food out at different times. She completely forgot about my order. The restaurant proceeded to serve other customers. I finally had to go to Fast and Furious to eat. The manager never came up to me to apologize. Never going here again!!
