I ordered the shrimp tempura roll. I was disappointed because it was not what I hoped it would be. The reason for my three star review is because the “eel” sauce they use is not the regular eel sauce at other sushi places. This “eel” sauce was very watered down and the taste and color consistency was more of a sesame seed flavor including taste, color and smell. Also, the shrimp is mostly breading, I had 3 bites where it was just breading and no shrimp. The portion was good but the complete flavor was not there. I would give it another try in the future.

I forgot that the tonkatsu bento was not authentic here. It’s fried really hard and dry and then cut in thin strips. The portion was generous but I didn’t enjoy it at all. More than half bento still left over. I came for the nostalgia after 5 years. The taste is consistent but come here for the cheap not for the taste.

11/26 Take out order: 2 rolls & Gyoza Gyoza was good, no complaints. Rainbow Roll & Crunchy Roll: too much rice and king crab inside. Unable to eat the crunchy because it simply fall apart in every bite. Rainbow same issue. Flavorless fish. Couldn’t finish them. Service was fast it just that they need to reduced the rice on rolls and improve flavor.

Good food & fast service! Our family love sushi from here! We enjoy our tempura flakes a lot and this is one of the few places that doesn’t skimp out on it. The staff is always so nice, they’ve never messed up our order not have we ever had complaints. We have only had the vegetarian rolls and those are delicious. While my husband has been getting rolls from them for a few years, the rest of us just started getting into sushi about a year ago. In the past year we have tried many sushi place on our travels and local and this one is our favorite!
