I've been out of the energy business for a very long time so have had no reason to travel downtown. I can safely say that after 15+ years, the food is STILL superb at Treebeard's in the tunnel. The chicken & sausage gumbo paired beautifully with the jalapeño cornbread. It was like popping into a time machine to go revisit some culinary bliss!

So glad Treebeards survived Covid. My favorite is RED BEANS AND RICE with Tabasco! Etouffe and Gumbo is a close 2nd followed by blackened catfish smothered in Etouffe! So many HARD decisions...

Delicious food, great spot in the Downtown Tunnels. The fried chicken was seasoned and juicy!! Loved the gravy. The red beans and rice were flavorful and the added piece of sausage is a must. My coworker tried the chocolate cake and it looked amazing!! I’m definitely returning soon on my lunch break!

We stopped in for lunch on a Friday and I enjoyed the baked catfish with crawfish etouffee and my wife liked the seafood gumbo. The staff were extremely friendly and the whole establishment is very clean and welcoming.

Great food and service. Wish Houston Center location hadn't shut down, but it's worth the walk even in the brutal summer heat.

Just want to say thank you for the awesome food and service I've gotten here for years! A quick lunch, scheduled catering or last minute cake or cookie orders have always been well prepared and presented. Thanks for saving my bacon again today!! I can count on Treebeards!!!
