I went for my OCI yesterday. The queing system was very fair and admirable although waiting time cannot be helped, About an hour wait in the queue and then an hour wait for counter. Staffs were good and helpful as they check the OCI documents before submitting at the counter. But the only thing is despite me having all the naturalised certificate and other certificates showing my old name and new name, the lady at the counter verified with the manager and I have been asked to bring the notarized change of name. So have to make my trip again from bedfordshire. Why O Why? Kay Sera Sera when we deal with the Indian Govt.

I have always gone to Goswell Road as they were much better than the other one within London however the Southall one is miles apart. The person right from the front door to the people checking the documents to the people at the counter were really helpful and it felt like the vfs service that we get in mumbai. The other offices in London should definitely learn from the southall staff. They are just amazing. I was out within 30 mins which never happened in all my family's applications.

Went yesterday to get my OCI and I can not rate the service that we was provided. So well organised, people there to check you have all the right documentation prior to going to the counter. We had S Pereira that approved all our documents, explained what was not uploaded, if we wanted to upload it they will do it for us for a small fee. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

It’s used to be the most chaotic place but since a new manager has introduced documents check help desk service before issuing the tokens the overall customer experience has improved significantly that saved the people’s time and trips it takes to get the job done. Definitely the best customer service I have received today. Just get there 15 minutes before the appointment and you will be out in no more than 30 minutes. If there is any minor mistake on your application forms than they will also let you use their computers and printers to make changes… Keep it up VFS and please pay extra bonus to a new manager who made this happen.

Had an awesome experience, Mr. Maninders was very professional and helpful. I was there to renew my 5 year olds passport and mine. Maninders made sure he explain every single steps, and let me also make sure all details are well aligned. He was the best and cared for the customers to offer a top notch customer experience. Thanks VFS for having someone like him in the team

Very well organised. There was a wait, but we were kept well informed. I had put that we were British subjects when we are citizens apparently so it couldn’t be processed. Luckily we were served by the amazing Sarith Kumar who couldn’t have been more helpful and after an hours wait we were successfully processed. Amazing service

Few quick facts one should know to improve their experience. I went there to renew our passports (4 member applications), application processing took 15 minutes only.
1. Booked early morning appointment slots, (I booked for 8:30 am)
2. Reached around 8:00 am , stood near the entry gate. This would enable you to get the entry quickly, once they open the door.
3. Enough parking available, they call it RED Zone , just backside of the VFS building. 150 parking slots are available. During morning hours one can get easy parking space
4. Has a coffee and snack bar , opens after 8:30 am ( I suppose)
5. Restroom is ok
6. Brilliant staffs , super efficient Indian folks , no laid-back attitude. They opened office door shap at 8:30 am and super attentive to perform their duties. I loved the way supervisor was manually orchestrating the job and sending people on different windows.
7. Last but not the least, I had a really good experience with the Lady 'Priyanka ( forgot her last name) . She was apt on her job , quick validation, quick coordination
8. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP SEPARATE APPOINTMENT LETTERS FOR EACH APPLICANT. EVEN IF YOU BOOKED THREE APPOINTMENTS TOGETHER. I had to get additional xerox COPIES from the vfs Center. 50p each copy ( no hassle)
Just a suggestion
Check the documents beforehand with the help of the checklist. Your entire experience would be smooth.
Today (after 7 days) , I can see Passport gone for printing.
Total time for passport renewal on normal circumstances. 2-3 weeks.
Only one observation
1. They don't ask for courier preference, and the charges are huge. Something that can be worked upon though by VFS. Nothing on the staff.
My overall experience was brilliant.

The Staff at the centre were extremely helpful and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised and they also provided me with facilities ti nurse my little baby while I was waiting. Well impressed:) Special thanks to manager Sumer.

Amazing experience overall
Greeted by the person giving the token number.
Patiently waited for my turn.
The guy (madhu) took my documents as required and processed my application very calmly.
It took me less than an hour for the whole process.
Big bonus if you have all your required documents handy.
Great work vfs Hounslow.

A few weeks ago, we came to renew my daughter’s passport but some of our documents weren’t right but Amr who handled our appointment, he was very patient with us and gave us time to correct our papers and even guided us. I am sure if it won’t have been Amr, we would have to reschedule our appointment and it would have been another hustle. So, I am really thankful for his service. Thank you!
