Great sushi and cozy Japanese-style atmosphere with a variety of traditional and specialty rolls, as well as drinks and desert. We had edamame, miso, the Alaska roll, and the Kona roll. I especially like the Alaska roll because it’s a relatively simple one with salmon, avocado and cucumber.

Sushi place with good service and friendly staff. The food was good, the quality of the ingredients was excellent but nothing remarkable in the flavor department. Nothing sets this place apart from others. If you want good food and good service which doesn’t stay away from what is expected from a sushi place check this out. I would do 4.5 stars but google don’t give that option.

I wanted my last meal in the island to be special, our tour guide mentioned this place and I am so glad she did it.

We just loved Sakura Sushi & Grill while we were on the big island recently 😋. The 🍣 was fresh and the menu extensive. Professional and friendly service felt welcoming. We ate here twice in our 6 day stay. It will be a regular quality sushi restaurant on the island for us.

Sakura’s was great. They accommodated for our party of six, we had two tables pushed together. Our server was awesome, she kept saying excuse me when she was approaching our table so we could give her our attention. The food was excellent as always. I don’t think I’ve had a bad food experience yet and that’s a plus for me. I like the lighting in the restaurant, not too bright, not too dark. It got really loud when a group with kids came in then we could barely hear each other but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Overall, another great experience at Sakura’s.
I had the chicken katsu, husband had the vegetable and shrimp tempura. Not sure what everyone else had but it all looked really delicious.

Stopped in on a day trip to Hilo, and this was hands down the best sushi we've ever had. We quite literally finished 3 rolls in 7 minutes. It was priced better than the sushi we get back home as well. I recommend anyone go here if you like sushi.

Decent prices. Good food presentation. I don't eat raw fish but I loved the sweet potato tempura rolls and Teri chicken. I would skip the fried rice next time and go with Jasmine as I wasn't impressed
