Great food and friendly service! We happened to find this sushi spot after visiting the Hilo Farmer's Market and are so happy we did! We ordered two poke bowls and a sushi roll (spicy tuna) to share. You can see the chef making the food behind the tiny counter, and he apologized profusely that it would be a 30-minute wait. It was peak lunch hour, though, so it was an understandable wait and ended up being closer to 20 minutes. Poke bowls were tasty--the ahi tasted fresh and had a nice flavor, though the spicy ahi wasn't at all spicy. The spicy tuna roll was the real standout, though, and was super tasty! If I return to the Big Island, I will just order sushi rolls here because that roll was so good.

Friendly folks behind the counter made us a few tasty poke bowls. Super reasonably priced; it's not a fancy place (see photos) but we went in knowing that and had a refreshing tasty lunch here

Seriously the best sushi! It’s a bit of a hole in the wall, but don’t let that deter you. I got the sushi combo B, and it was amazing. We spent all of that night and the next day thinking about this sushi, and drove back to Hilo from Kona just to eat here again. Definitely worth it!

This is it! Authentic Japanese sushi made from an actual Japanese sushi chef!
If you're looking for a good, fresh, and affordable sushi then look no further! I've been coming here for years and the quality have never change. My personal fav will have to be the salmon skin roll and the shrimp tempura roll!

The food is simple and tasty. Nice to see that they only use brown rice for their sushi. I recommend the soba salad. Really fresh greens and the soba was cooked just right. Salmon skin roll was also good.
