Chicos Restaurant

I don’t understand how this restaurant has a 4.1 star. To start the restaurant is dirty (outside and inside). Tables were dirty and the floor as well. We sat down and I wanted to leave right away but I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt since there were so many reviews about the food being excellent. Well it wasn’t. I wish I would have left. The food was cold, you could tell nothing was fresh. Rice tasted like it was made from the box. Not homemade as other Cuban restaurants I’ve been to. Also, how do they allow for customers to walk in with their dogs????? I understand customers sitting outside with their dogs, completely fine. But inside?? Really? I left completely dissatisfied. Needless to say, I am never going back.

This place was the place to go for good food. But today I ordered two pan con bistec not only did it take 45 mins and experience it was awful no onions and no tomatoes the bread stale and I had to drink soda after every bite because it was ridiculously dry. Chico's has seen the last of me. I couldn't complain because it was take out

Heads up! They only speak Spanish here. Their Cubans are excellent though! Lucky for me, I have a translator I can call. Love the bread compared to other areas in the state. They misunderstood me one time I couldn’t get ahold of my friend and I ended up with a club sandwich- and it was excellent! Coffee was excellent as usual! Will be back

Service is horrible. I left after asking to order 5xs (30mins of my time wasted) and restaurant wasn't even busy, maybe 1/4 full. Everyone I asked said they would get me the waitress. Meanwhile about 5 of them were standing around talking to each other. Don't do me any favors, plenty of better cuban places to go to.

It's a tradition in our family to visit this amazing place first thing on our trips to Florida. In the years we have been coming we have never been disappointed. Great Cuban food (as I should know since I'm Cuban) and friendly staff paired with cheap deals. Definitely recommend. Don't leave Florida without stopping by here first!
