Pear Tree

The Pear Tree Bistro was our favourite dining spot while we were in Hermanus. The food was excellent and so beautifully presented. I had hake tacos which were delicious and then a poké bowl - my favourite. My mother had sweet potato fries which she described as excellent and pork ribs. The portions were generous for us and we struggled to finish. We had plans for the fabulous looking pear dessert but couldn’t manage it. The staff were all wonderful too. Our server was bright, cheery and fun. It’s a breath of fresh air coming to such a vibrant restaurant. Shame we had to leave the next morning otherwise I would have been back for breakfast.

My hubby & I popped in for breakfast and tried the fried breakfast rice. We both agreed that was the nicest bowl of savoury rice we have ever eaten and at the recommendation of our amazing waitress to try it with scrambled egg- (Gail Lynn I think her name was)....we added the chipotle chicken. WOW. Well done on delish... We live in PE but will ALWAYS return there for a great meal.

Looking for something different for breakfast, this is the spot to be. Although the usual breakfast are delicious and I. The menu (eggs Benedict, etc) there are some innovative and delicious options. We opted for the breakfast Tacos (9/10) and Fried breakfast rice (solid 10/10) Breakfast tacos could have been slightly bigger portion, but at the price it's more than fair. The flavout makes up for the smaller portion. Some of the best scrambled eggs on the Taco I ever had. The breakfast fried rice, however, was the highlight of the day. Creamy fried rice topped with pulled brisket amd served with crunchy fresh greens and a delicious aioli. Really one of the best dished I had in a long time PS. We recently had the pleasure of eating at Pear Tree, and we were thoroughly impressed! The menu provides a wide variety of options, and both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the diverse offerings. What truly stood out to us was the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant, which was particularly delightful during this chilly weather. An added bonus was their food and wine pairing for R150pp, which proved to be an awesome experience.👌 We highly recommend trying their poke bowls, especially the Teriyaki Chicken bowl, as it was a definite winner. The service was excellent, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Pear Tree has undoubtedly become one of our favorite restaurants in the beautiful town of Hermanus. We can't wait to visit again!"
