Sunflower 2

This is our first time because (Uncle Yu was closed). I can only compare the food with Uncle Yu restaurant because that's our favorite place. This food was good, very clean, however it was missing a lot of flavors and very small portions. Also I ordered tofu with mushrooms, I got 6 pieces of tofu and rest was broccoli, zucchini and a few mushrooms. My husband ordered chicken with broccoli and he got mostly broccoli. So we will ordered again from here?! Yes, when Uncle Yu is closed.

Very rude waitress... out of rice.... we walked out! My family has been going to Sunflower since the first one on CV Blvd. We love the food! We know because of Covid, indoor dining and hours may be affected. So, we called ahead of time at about 6pm to ask about indoor dining and I was pleasantly invited to come in. We didn't arrive until 7:15pm, and closing time was 8 o'clock. When we came in no one acknowledged us We get it, its busy. But then we sat ourselves and I asked if it was okay to grab the menus. The waitress then awkardly asked how long it would take us to eat. I told her we should be done by 8pm. We never felt so unwelcomed. Then when we ordered, we were abruptly informed that there was no rice. How it all played out was awful. Like they just didn't want us to eat there. And we left. Not sure if we will return ever.

Today was my very first visit to this restaurant but it will not be my last. When I walked in, the manager open the front door for me so that I could get in with my power scooter and they were extremely attentive to me and my disability. When I mentioned that I have special dietary needs, they happily accommodated my needs with no complaint let me know what things I should order and not and the food arrived promptly and hot. I went for the lunch special which is contested we priced for the amount of food that I received and, when I was leaving, the server that I had even offered to hold the front door open so that I could easily get out. I will definitely be back

I love sunflower 🌻 they have the best beef / broccoli and egg rolls I have ever had. Of course other dishes are great too but this is my all time favorite, I refuse to eat it anywhere else. Although the prices have changed ($$$) and has recently been sold to new owner. He was a customer himself and he seems to be doing a pretty good job... Added his own touches along with music and TV... And I like it! It works for me. I don't live in the area so whenever I'm in town, I always make it a point to stop and eat or pick something up... Only down fall is parking is not great.. Small price to pay for great food!!!
