Toast Wine Bar

I've been meaning to drop in for a while now... I like this place, in its unique eclectic way of decorating and furnishings... Nice bar with plenty of good wine selections, and the food is equally good. Very original menu, produced by an very imaginative chef. Quiet environment with alternative music softly painting the background noise of James St. Just like I envisioned a wine bar should be. Great prices. 2 appetizers and a bottle of wine... Under $150. Lots of parking around.

Greeted at the door by the staff. Friendly and extremely attentive service. Wednesday they have mystery flights which are bartender choice. I expected the wine selection to be more extensive considering it’s a wine bar. They had some nice choices though. We didn’t try the food but I would go back and try at another time.

Toast Wine Bar is a tapas bar ( a detail I think many miss ) located at the bottom of the historical Treble Hall building built in 1879. The decor is beautiful. Modern and elegant keeping with the renaissance vibe with their gold accents, beautiful chandeliers, and Victorian sofa that makes me want to keep it for myself! There is a vibe that exists there, you feel upscale minus the pretentiousness. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and seem to carry a vibe all of their own. Calming and relaxed, I would say. I have only been here twice but one of the first things I noted was how the food always complimented the select wines. For me, it was the charcuterie board (chefs choice-full board) that really hit it out of the park. Each bite seemed like a different experience. I went on a Wednesday evening and saw psychic Sandee! She was excellent and I hope that will be an on going event. It was such a fun touch to the night. Toast is a wine bar first and foremost and being tapas (small dishes), expect the food options to mirror that idea. Certain dishes may seem a touch on the pricier side but the quality and specific selection justifies that price for me.

2nd time here, always lovely spot to go for a drink. Good for girls night, date night. The main bar is very cute, lots of seating as well. Wine flight didnt super impress me this time, but they change often. Mixed drinks were Garden Party (wine glass) and Tufford Road smash. Both great mixes, would have again.

GREAT PLACE! Friend and I are new to wine and this place was exactly what we were looking for. We got a sampler of wine each and tried 6 different wines. Excellent food choices to go with it! You can build your own charcuterie board, they had flavored butter for toast (we had strawberry garlic). Atmosphere was very suiting too! Prices won't hurt your wallet too much either. Highly recommend, we will be making this our new place!
