The Speakeasy

Amazing atmosphere. We came to this bar because it was close to one of our friend's place. This is definitely going to be a staple for us moving forward. From the moment we got here, you can't help but be taken by the cozy feel. We were immediately seated and the bartender came over and took our order. We asked for a menu and the bartender said that if we didn't like the options, we could have something delivered. Not something you see from most establishments. Great place! We'll be back often!

Hands down my favourite bar in the city. Why? Where to start!. The selection of whisky is phenomenal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the general audience consists of friendly mature and interesting people The man behind the bar is to thank for the speakeasys success, popularity and reputation. He most certaintly puts his all into making your experience at speakeasy great enough to be memorable and memorable enough to come back.

A great place to enjoy drinks with friends. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and tasty eats too! Not well knows, very new but worth your time to try it. A feel like no other bar in Hamilton. Must be experienced. Owner Mike Wilson has put his full effort into creating a welcoming space for all patrons.

Cozy little whiskey bar with a creative 'speakeasy' theme, from the rear entry through a metal door (with a sliding peephole!) to the bartender's era-appropriate garb. At first I noticed a slight air of pretentiousness, however the clientèle did not fit that mold at all and I had a great night! There was a three piece band (acoustic/bass guitars and an electronic drum set) playing rock covers after 10pm who were very entertaining and fit the atmosphere well. Obviously a great selection of Whiskey however the beer selection, particularly on tap, did leave me wanting.

Fantastic hidden gem tucked away on the south mountain. Great service, food, and good times. You can sit yourself at the bar and enjoy chat with staff or sit off in groups at cosy tables. The best part was sitting on majestic couches and lounge chairs while enjoying the ambiance around the fireplace. Add to that, excellent appys were enjoyed so much we went back for more! The music was really good, well picked based on staff selection. Definitely heading back!

A local bar around the corner from my house. Mike (Magic Mike XXL :) ) is awesome, and smaller Magic Mike has amazing card tricks and doubly amazing service! This place is a cozy, local Hamilton bar with great cocktails and a respectable craft beer selection (in the fridge). Go there whenever I get a chance. Highly recommended!
