Ihop

I was there this past Saturday and it was one of my worst experience in a restaurant, I was waiting for my food for over an hour and 45 minutes, the table next to me that was there for 30 minutes got their food before me and when my food came in it was reheated, it was so hot that I couldn't even touch the tomatoes or the lettuce. It seems my food was ready a log time ago but my waitress forgot about our table. It's kind of ridiculous that they give you a table and you have to wait over 30 minutes for the to ask I you need anything and then make you wait even longer... IHOP you need to get better employees or yo need to trained them better.

Called and asked to place a to-go order and the woman on the phone said yes I could just give her a minute and I was placed on hold for 20 minutes and when I went in I was told I couldn’t place a to-go order on the phone and to use to online site which also wasn’t working and no one could take the time of day to help me. It’s worth driving to the Orange location they are much more efficient with workers who want to help.

Really careful COVID procedures. They are only filling the restaurant at about 20% capacity (or less), even asking people to wait outside and risking lost business due to wait times to make sure there is plenty of space between parties and each table. Of course, they also have delicious pancakes and great deals.

I use to go 4 days a week (3 weekdays/ 1 weekend) until they stopped serving Grits weekdays. I then started going 1 day a week on the weekend and the excuse many times now is that you have to come during the morning shift on weekends to get Grits as if it’s a breakfast menu only (it’s ihop right?). Not upset but just disappointed because I’m complacent only going to ihop for all these years since they were on skiff street. I can easily make my own Grits at home but it’s a comfort and routine for my family to eat and socialize at ihop. It’s a personal preference but I guess i can save money buying a cheap box of grits and cook at home.
