Mar-val

Nice market run in the gateway to Yosemite. They doubled the size of the store about four years ago which really increase their merchandising. The isles are kind of narrow that they are well-stocked inventory. They have smaller shopping carts to accommodate that. The staff is very helpful and friendly they all seem to enjoy your jobs. The store gas getting busy but they will open enough registers to handle the shoppers. May be a little difficult to find it’s tucked down the bottom of a little hill but it’s right behind the Hungry Bear diner.

This is literally my favorite store in the west!! They are ALWAYS so helpful, energetic, kind, polite, all those things u just wish u had at Walmart. They're selection is top knotch too and the prices are reasonable, for California anyway. I struggled with all my stuff last time and 3 different people took the time to make sure I was ok and on my way. I walked in frustrated, walked out smiling, like the weight of the world was lifted. Interesting that the beauty aids and the liquor share the same space,lol. We are regulars here and somewhere I have a video of my walk thru the store and I will upload. I may even make another one. And the deli....THE DELI. First time I enjoyed my sandwich in months. She extra smashed and grilled mine for me, just the way I like it! I was annoying and slow, and struggling, cuz I'm old, lol, and they all got me thru it!!

The go to store when you are around the neighborhood (Pine Mountain Lake resort) for the weekend. They have everything that you would need to make your trip worthwhile when it comes to things that you might have forgotten to pack, craving for something that you could not carry with you for a lunch or dinner to be cooked and on top of that an extremely friendly and caring staff that help you in every way possible. They have a variety of items which you would not really imagine to be the case with a small grocery store though they would surprise you with the options that they would carry. All in all an absolute recommendation in case you are around and need that quick run to the grocery store. The only things that could get better with the store would be the parking space and the closing time (even 10 PM prior to the daylight savings seems early for folks that are driving in late into the town).
