Coffee's On Limited

I arrived at 8:30am to a swedish/farmhouse chic designed coffeehouse. I asked the barista what they specialized in and got a very friendly though generalized overview of lattes and a list of local organic flavored syrups. I ordered the avocado toast and vanilla latte with oatmeal milk (instead of the almond milk I usually order) at her suggestion. My impression is that she was too modest because I couldn't believe how creamy and delicious my latte was! It was a harmonious balance between the dark full bodied richness of the espresso and the light creamy milk with a hint of vanilla that didn't take center stage but instead blended into the melange of flavors in perfect balance. Then came my avocado toast, a generous layer of avocado topped a whole grain toast topped with chopped herbs and salted pumpkin seeds. Now, I think fresh herbs always heighten a dish what was surprised me was how the smoky, salty and rich seeds complimented and offered contrast to the rich creamy avocado. This was such an enjoyable start to my day. The care that went into my morning meal has inspired me to get to work on my music and I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu. By the time I left at 10:30am the place was 3/4 full of happy chatter. There are bar stools, tables with hard chairs, a section of comfy leather chairs in front of a fireplace. I didn't see many outlets. So it's better suited for an enjoyable meeting or self indulgence than a work space (unless your bringing plenty of batteries).

I love to come here to treat myself. I usually go for a spicy chai, classic. Or I go for a bubbly tea or an italian soda. Their scones are my favorite treat and their toasts and acai bowls are delicious as well. I really like what they have done with this space and all the artwork they sell from local artists! Super cool.

Great place for studying in Gresham! Core's menu is decently expansive with Coava coffee and other beverage and food options. Vibe inside is great for getting work done- plenty of outlets along the perimeter tables, reasonable volume for music, wifi was easily connected to. My go-to when I need a place to get out of the house and still focus!

When the old employees are working: 5 stars. However, there are some new employees who are far less competent and/or welcoming than the older hires. In particular there is one Latina lady who never speaks but stares menacingly at customers like she's plotting their imminent and extremely violent demise. O.O;; I've come in multiple times to find her sitting out front or standing behind the counter, just... glaring.
