The Recruiting Sergeant

Came here with my family for a birthday meal and it's safe to say that we weren't disappointed! Lovely food, very clean and great service from our charming blonde and bubbly waitress (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name) who was so cheerful despite the heat! We had the roast beef, roast pork and a tuna baguette- the meat was beautifully done with plenty of extra vegetables. Prompt service and not rushed at all! Looking forward to our next visit ☺️

Have been to Recruiting Sergeant and I am always amazed how friendly and welcoming the staff are. There is a bar area in front and restaurant part in the back, some tables available outside too and decent sized car park. The food is nice, prepared up to the standards and tasty. The only little cons for a small portion of vegetables served with main. Also, the staff is happy to swap extra like chips for potatoes and that's very accommodating. Good choice of starters, mains and puddings that I recommend to everyone as they're super delicious.

Went for sunday lunch,food and service was first class. My only gripe was that there wasn't much veg. A small dish for 4 people. We asked for more but only peas and carrots left. The vegetarian choices were also limited . However we had booked for 2.30pm so maybe an earlier booking might have seen more choice. Would recomend though, nice venue.
