Sunset Bar

After a nice walk around Glenelg, I stopped for a drink in the Marina Sunset Bar. It’s located at the end of Marina Pier, so the view is a show by itself. They offer many cocktail based on Barossa Distilled gin at very reasonable prices ($12). The staff member was friendly and patient to provide information about the different options and gave some recommendations as well. There’s a comfortable spot for smokers outside and next to the harbor. I came here during day hours, but people say that it gets very busy at night. I took many pictures for all of you to illustrate my experience. I had the miss maple and tonic, delicious!!!! . PS: the main entrance is at Marina Pier, but when you walk through the bar, you’ll find in the other side a small terrace facing the beach, stunning!

Where do I start. The service was average. The bar staff advised the pool table was out of service after I asked twice about exchanging coins and trying to use the pool table. The food was very average. Edible, but for $20 I'd expect a pizza with flavour, rather than the defrosted and microwaved pizza we received. Very disappointed from a place that I thought had a decent standard. The sun has set on my experience here.

Quiet disappointed. Made a booking online for 4 with no conformation for a month, only evidence being an email showing I attempted to make the booking. Called several times the day prior and day of booking to confirm but the phone wasn’t picked up. We arrived to the venue to find nothing was reserved for us. Absolute waste of time! No apology for the inconvenience either, I don’t know why it’s that hard to confirm you had no places available or whatever

I must say I the look of this place is very pleasing but as soon as I stepped through the door it all changed, wasn't greeted at all and I would just like to point out that I have no problem wearing a mask to order a drink but when the bar tender rudely tells me to put one on when there own staff isn't wearing one i find its a bit hypocritical, mind you every young lady that went up to order a drink apparently didn't have to wear one either, really disappointed with the lack of hospitality and fairness among patrons this place could be a lot better with some better management.
