D & A Deli

Unfortunately after Gary left the business it’s simply not the same. Our family has been loyal customers for over 50 years (!) purchasing meatball and sausage meat for Sunday dinner weekly with no exception. Within the past year the quality and consistency have gone out the window. Receiving inedible over-peppered sausage on several occasions has made the hard decision for us of finding a new local butcher. I’m talking peppered like someone unscrewed the lid and emptied the bottle. Insane! The second time it happened we called the store in hopes of hearing an understandable response but sadly did not. Evidently, in their words, there is no recipe and whomever is making the meat on that given day “does so as they please”. G&M’s old school neighborly-attitude is very clearly GONE and so is our family as an incredibly long time customer 💔.

I had the single best Italian hoagie (sub) that I’ve ever had in my life here. I have had sandwiches all over NJ and G&M uses the best meats, the best breads and has the best service anywhere in NJ and the surrounding tri-state area. You can tell they actually care about the ingredients they use, and the customers they serve. I won’t go anywhere else for a sandwich ever again!

I love that this is a family owned and operated business. My heart goes out to you all and I wish you many years of success. The only reason this is not a 5/5 rating is because I wish you guys would wear gloves in between making sandwiches and handling money, boxes, etc. Even though my sandwich looks awesome, I am simply grossed out and can't finish it. Please someone from management see this and humbly make that small little change. If in a few months I see gloves on next time, I will definitely change this review.

I have known the owners and employees for over 20 years! They're like family to us! My son Nick worked for them for many years! Hank and Gary taught him everything he knows about butchering !The freshest lunch meats and cheeses in town. Best prices also! Can't beat the homemade sausage ,roast beef and roast pork! There ground chicken beats all others! Over 50 years in business speaks for itself!!

Awful experience!!! I called to order roast beef, was told to “come on in”. Drove 15 miles to get there, and they’re out of it!! No apologies, just a VERY rude woman who told me I should have called ahead. I did! The place really needs a good cleaning, too. I will NEVER go back there again! Overpriced, poor quality food being sold at top dollar prices. Absolutely appalling.
