Miller Bakery Cafe

I have been to the Miller Bakery numerous times since it reopened earlier this year. The restaurant looks fresh, clean and welcoming. The atmosphere is very friendly, especially on Friday evenings in the bar area. There are plenty of delicious appetizers from which to choose. The scallops are one of my favorites. The menu has been evolving and gets better by the week. There are always excellent specials. The wine list is quite extensive so pairings are easy. The Miller Beach Lake Street neighborhood is becoming more and more lively with frequent art events and other activities. Great experience - I will be going back again and again.

Went here for mother’s day. Waitress was less than happy to wait on us; took our order and brought the food but then never saw her again until time for the check. Didn’t ask we needed a refill or dessert. It being mother’s day, it would have been nice to have token if mothers day; a flower in the table, a chocolate kiss, a festive napkin. Something. The limited menu tasted good but was not served with any pizzazz or flourish something f which would have been a nice touch for this special day.

“Friendly service and excellent food!” My husband loves the wonderful pork chops and I love the fresh fish dishes. Adore the wedge salad and great deals on wine Tuesday nights. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the ambiance is fantastic either in the dining room or at the bar. Highly recommended!

This place has a special vibe, warm service, fun bar scene, the BEST steak I think I've ever had (bone-in-ribeye). The scallops were sweet and perfectly grilled, and the night I went they had oysters for $2 and sushi specials were excellent Lots of price options for everyone, generous martinis and nice wine list. Must have the bread pudding made with croissants!!

Tator tots and their sauce were good. Must try the bison sliders! My husband had a giant steak (worth the money he said) I got an italian sausage pasta. Pretty good. The bread pudding was outstanding! This is not a chain restaurant. We spent about an hour and a half here start to finish. We decided on drinks. We enjoyed our food. Chantel provided great service.

We celebrated our very small wedding here on May 4th, 2016. (Nine of us all together.) The food was delicious! The bread served before our meal was quite delicious. The staff was attentive and very accommodating to our party. I definitely recommend this place for lunch! And thanks again to the staff! :D

Updated 4/11/2018: They have nice food and a good atmosphere but the service the last few times has been slow. The food is still great but we have had missing items on orders. Just more attention needs to paid to the smaller details and the service needs to a bit quicker. Still an awesome restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone coming to Miller. 2017: We love this place. Great food, good service, and a nice bar. This is our go to place, especially when friends and family are in the area visiting.
