Cracker Barrel

I am glad to see that they have switched out the chairs that they had before where the sides were very tight against your hips. The new chairs even though still made of wood and no padding or more comfortable. The staff are so nice and helpful. The food was excellent and so was the service. All of the employees greeted you with a smile and made you feel very welcome.

DON'T EAT THE CHICKEN FRIED STEAK! Most of the food i have eaten at Cracker Barrel has been good, especially the breakfasts. That can not be said of the chicken fry. The chicken fry is of the frozen, and drug through the corral mud type. That being said, the waitress Makayla G. Was sweet as she could be, and the manager who came out to talk to is was very pleasant and apologetic. I saw excellent service all around by all waiters, waitresses, busboys, and cashiers. I think that it is well managed and a great place to eat, but DON'T EAT THE CHICKEN FRY! I can recommend the roast and the meatloaf, but the mashed potatoes and chicken fry were terrible. The highlight of the meal was definitely the light fluffy biscuits and the delicious cornbread muffins they serve with the meals. I will be back. I am not afraid, but they should take the chicken fry and mashed potatoes off of the menu. If you aren't willing to put the work in that you put into the rest of the menu, just don't offer those items. Anyway, thanks for the pleasant atmosphere and I hope we didn't come off as jerks.

I love this store. The people who work there are awesome. It is my favorite place locally for breakfast. The good has always been consistently great till the last couple of weeks. I have gotten beignets that we’re pretty brown outside and very raw inside. Today I got pancakes that weren’t quite done. Hopefully someone in the kitchen will teach the new person how to cook.

Ordered a mimosa from this beautiful photo in the menu. What I got? A not even half way filled cup (more like 1/3 of the cup). The OJ was inside that TINY condiment container. REALLY? I'm honestly offended they even offered this if they can't even serve you the amount in the photo. I'm pretty embarrassed for them as well. I would rather have NOT had the option over being insulted with a condiment containers worth of orange juice. SMH. BTW, what the heck am I supposed to do with half a bottle of champagne? Stare at it while I hope for more oj I won't make the mistake of asking for again?
