The Colored Egg

I am so sad to write this review. I have been looking forward to eating at the Colored Egg due to all my friends and family raving about this place. We showed up at 12:15 on Friday afternoon. I ordered the quiche...they were out! OK, so I ordered the chicken salad sandwich...they were out! I looked to the pastry bin...only 3 scones!!! Nothing else!! So I went with the Turkey Sandwich. They were OUT of chips!! So I ordered a soup thinking they wouldn't charge full price since they were out of chips.NO that did not happen. The worst customer service I've seen in a long time. My friend and I got the last two diet cokes. $21.00 later...and a sorry excuse for a sandwich. They literally had 2 slices of thin turkey on them. I will have to say the soup was really good. However, we left very hungry.

The quiche here are HUGE and absolutely delicious!! My favorite is the spinach bacon but you can customize it as well. These are great to pre order and take to offices as an appreciation gesture, pot lucks etc. because they will feed many! They are decadent. You will be hooked at your first bite! If you don't try this you are missing out on a true culinary gift!

I went to the Colored egg for the first time today! Ms Kathy? I think is her name... Was very nice. I'm a little picky with food and she custom made my sandwich to my liking. everything was so fresh! It was a little warm in the shop but she said her air had went out that day... she was still working hard and in good spirits! I am glad I found this place! I will be back for sure. Maybe she wont be sold out of her goodies!

Skip the fast food and historic square breakfast options and drive the extra 3 minutes to the best tasting breakfast in town. Professional chef high quality fresh grade food with the warmest, friendliest staff I have encountered in Georgia. Relaxing open sitting with recipes that put Momma’s or Grandma’s secret family recipes to shame. Accommodating and cozy.
