Delicious meat and vegan tamales. Be sure to check out their Instagram @tamal_gainesville for updates. Typically open Thursday to Sunday each week from noon to 4pm.

Delicious place! It's kind of small, but it's a great place to try if you've never been. Super cute on the inside and the food is very filling at a very low price! They also have tasty unique drinks! I am definitely going back. It's a perfect unique lunch stop! I would definitely recommend. Also their tomatillo salsa is delicious!! Their menu is small but delicious and different from most other restaurants!

Kind of weird hours, but really amazing tamales at a pretty affordable price. I like the open kitchen layout, it feels really nice. The sides are delicious, try the sour cream and pickles

Pay attention to their Facebook page and look out in front for the can't-miss open sign. Grab a friend a get a few things off the very modestly priced menu. Everything I've tried tasted like it was crafted by care and it's nice to have different textures and flavors playing off each other. Try multiple Tamales, beans, and greens. And I love the Agua de Jamaica to wash it all down.

Good food! The guy preparing food was quiet but nice. Four options of tamales when we went - two meat (chorizo & potato, mole chicken) and two veggie (olive, tomato). I've never had tamales before but these were good! My only warning: operating hours are short and seating is very limited (~15 seats total). It was also very hot inside with no ventilation but they kept the door open to keep air flowing.

Love this place! Food and juices are always excellent - you can tell it's all made with love. :) My studio is just down the street and we are so excited for Thursdays and Fridays because we can get tamales!!! Thanks for always having a veg option, btw ♥

This is one of our "Go-To" places for Saturdays. The food is ultra fresh, served simply, and delicious beyond belief. They at least one vegetarian choices available on the menu. Speaking of menu, it's different every time so you have lots of ways to make new favorites! Choose what you like, you'll enjoy it. The beans and rice are good for sides, so are the serrano and carrots. The owners are wonderful; so are all the staff! Enjoy!!!
