La Parrilla

I was pleasantly surprised by La Parrillada. Gainesville VA might not be the first place you think of when you want great TexMex, but this place is really good! Food was excellent, staff was pleasant and helpful, and the atmosphere is nice enough. There is a small, but we'll appointed bar, an outdoor patio with umbrellas, and lots of windows on the inside. We had a great time. Family of 5, parents had drinks, for about 50 bucks. Can't beat that. We will eat here again.

Delicious supper for everyone in our party of 5. Getting together after work on a Saturday night can be a challenge in our group -- when one is a pescatarian and one has severe food allergies. Things were very busy when we arrived. I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes for a table. The restaurant appeared to use a service team approach which worked very well. Orders were taken, beverages and appetizers delivered, entrees arrived together and correct, beverage refills were timely. We never felt rushed. It was more like a smooth flow of activity around the room. Everyone in our party was pleased with their meal. We will definitely return

Good location, lots of parking and outside seating. Chips and salsa are good, salsa has just a hint of kick. Staff is friendly and service was prompt. Food is tasty and served hot. I had the #1 combination, 2 enchiladas chicken and beef, you can substitute filling, I also had a hard beef taco. All is very good. It is a bit noisy inside with the music and conversations but not overwhelming, can easily have a conversation at your table. There is a bar with lots of drink options. Seating at the bar is limited, about 6 to 8 chairs.

I love this place!!! Being Hispanic, I can definitely appreciate their food. 1st the staff is super friendly and quick. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes for my food, no matter at what time of the day I go. The owners are very friendly as well and are always very grateful to us for coming back. The food is delicious!!! It looks good and it tastes good and the portions are great. I am happy with the prices, I mean if you want really cheap Mexican like food you can always go to Taco Bell... but this is a restaurant. Yes they do have the same menu as El Vaquero Rest in Haymarket, because they own both restaurants. Maybe the prices vary because of the location? I highly recommend this Mexican Restaurant!!!
