Waffle House

I was on my way home in a road trip between Florida and PA and I had stopped in different waffle house in the way the service was on point, the food is delicious. This waffle house need help in customer service, the day shift of Friday, it was an older lady , first pretending she didn't understand my English, second laughing at my order when she says it to the cook and then bring me food without a knife. She was close to my table and didn't even ask if we want more coffee or soda. The food was great but service was not . My kid was using the back of the fork as a knife for jelly.

Editing to remove stars: 4 years ago this waffle house was great. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food was good. Now the food isn't cooked the way my husband and I asked it to be, hash browns well done and cheese on the eggs are usually ignored, the staff is rude and sometimes doesn't even acknowledge you. It takes 10+ minutes to get a coffee refill because they don't come back to the table to check on you. We will be going to a different waffle house from now on.

When you go into a Waffle House, you have an expectation that it is going to be a little bit gritty and the food is going to be Soso. But at least you know what you’re going to get. We were pleasantly surprised that this place was somewhat clean for a Waffle House house and the food was pretty good. Not a bad place to stop at 10:30 at night when we were passing through. My only complaint was that I had to practically beg the server to refill my coffee and give me my check. They could have been a little bit more attentive opposed to standing around. But I understand how that job is and I don’t want to split hairs. I’d recommend.

Few years ago this was our go to spot for breakfast. Until my pervious visits. The experience was straight awful and the staff no way near they were before. Slow to communicate with and bad service. The food is no doubt good but with my order some how gets mixed up or missing something, you can’t have a reasonable experience without some kind of issue with them. I know the experience in working in a breakfast joint as I worked in one but the way of services they treat us is no way near the service we treat to our guest. Of course there are some good staff members working there but most of them need proper training and manners. This Waffle House needs to reconsider better trained staff in order for better experience for all guest.
