My Thai

I was really hoping for a different experience than these other recent reviews! This is the only Thai restaurant in the Frederick area on GrubHub. I had a gift card I wanted to use. I ordered the kanom jeeb (dumplings) and the drunken noodles with chicken. The dumplings were good and the redeeming part of this review. Very much enjoyed them. Healthy chunks of shrimp in them. Unfortunately, the drunken noodles had next to no flavor and weren't even spicy at all. I was really disappointed because that's what I was looking forward to the most. Other things to note were timely delivery and easy ordering process.

This place is amazing. Loved the hot red curry, plus I could happily drink two or three of the Thai iced coffees. Portion sizes are generous and the online order/takeout system is so easy. Everything was so thoughtfully packaged, including the coffee. I love that they hand wrote their business name on the to-go bags, it’s a cool personal touch that shows you just how awesome My Thai is.

Just had lunch here and everything was great. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and seated promptly. Waitress came over very quick to get our drink orders. We ordered food next and it came out quick as well. We both got the drunken noodles and it tasted great. All the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. Definitely willie back soon.

We ordered pad Thai and Singapore noodles, which were good. However, we ordered the “crab and shrimp” wontons, which were nothing but 4 tiny fried wonton pieces with maybe about 1/8 teaspoon of minced meat in each. Not wontons by any means. I came back in to express my concern (as I paid $8 for them) and they hesitantly swapped them for spring rolls. I was completely nice and just explained that they didn’t match the description and would love a swap out. Any professional would say of course, no worries, right? (I mean come on, I know times are tough but their carry out was very busy and I’m sure their $8 wonton pieces cost about .50 cents to make; max. Upon leaving, the hostess shook her finger in my face and said “be careful because this won’t happen again”, repeating herself multiple times as I walked out …..threatening a paying customer because YOUR description of something you’re serving is FAR from what it really is? Totally unprofessional. Don’t worry, “this won’t happen again” because we’ll never be back. Glad there’s a new Thai spot right across the shopping center opening up next week.

I was in heaven. The people are friendly, the service was on point and the food was excellent!! I couldn't decide but ended up ordering, Chicken Tom Kha, the summer rolls, Jasmine fried rice with seafood and Mango sticky rice!! I highly recommend this place. My hubby had Duck Soup also! Definitely going again very soon. My new favorite place!!
