Downtown Diner

I was skeptical at first... Could such a small, old looking establishment actually serve up a real quality meal? Well, I tried it... Not once, but 2, 3, 4, then 5, 6, 7, 8, and yes, nine times. And, you know what? This is now undoubtedly my absolute favorite dining establishment in downtown Frankfort, Indiana. I'm somewhat leary of posting this as it's a rather small diner and therefore provides somewhat limited seating. I don't want to find myself not being able to get a seat following this post. I'm telling you that if this place had 100 tables, it would surely pack every table day in and day out up until their 2pm closing time. Each and every menu item that I've experienced so far has been an incredible dining experience for me. I'll bet that once you try it for yourself, you'll quickly discover that the Downtown Diner does indeed serve up some of the tastiest home cooked meals that you've ever experienced. And, if you frequent it as I have been doing, you'll find yourself recognizing many regulars there that have long ago discovered what I have. There's no better cooking going on anywhere within Clinton County, Indiana. Nuff said!

One of the rare occasions where we prefered the grilled to the breaded tenderloin. The breaded was dry and bland needing more seasoning. The grilled was less dry but not as moist or as thick as we like it. **** grilled tenderloin *** breaded tenderloin ☹ we asked for a sandwiches to be wrapped in foil. Instead they used petroleum-based unrecyclable styrofoam. Something biodragable would be even better (we'll pay extra for that).
