Food was flavorful. They were packed and my service was still good, waitress was friendly and didn't make me feel rushed. Along with the food I had a regular coffee that was a bit bitter for a light roast but still decent. I also had a lavender latte which was delicious. Apparently known for their scones, and they definitely live up to their name.

This is a pretty neat little cafe built into an old house. We got seated right away. Both or coffee and food came really fast. I had the breakfast porridge which came in a huge bowl and was nice and hot. The peanut butter cup latte was also quite delicious. I would definitely recommend this spot for breakfast.

Coffee was amazing! I had just a plain latte and it was so smooth and creamy. My boyfriend had a peppermint mocha that was very rich and filling. The food was good, but it wasn't anything special. Upside is that there is many options on their menu to choose from. Will definitely visit again soon even if it is just for the coffee. 😀

Nestled in the middle of Lathrop in Forest Park is this hidden gem! I mean I was not expecting the restuarant to look like a house! When i walked inside I was pleasantly amazed at the rustic decor and pleasant staff. I had a Belgian waffle with a hot chocolate and they were savory and delicious! You should go for the experience and stay for the ambiance. Prices are decent too!

I love Blue Max! Expect a wait on the weekends, but they have a nice waiting space in the upper level of the old house they've renovated. There's a spacious porch filled with tables, a cafe space with more tables and in the summer an outside eating deck. The food is really yummy...especially their house salsa. My husband and I frequent this place a couple times a month to satisfy our cravings for their delicious food. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my husband is a fan of their blends. I prefer the loose tea they provide as well as the spa water with cucumber and basil. It's all delightful! They're really good about waiting on you as they seem to have a large staff. It's a great place to visit!
