Mi Sabor

This was the first time I tried Mexican food in the northeast. After living in Texas so many years I didn't think it would be good... But honestly, the food at this place was excellent! We ordered chicken tamales and chicken enchiladas to go, as well as some plantains. Everything was delicious and tasted home made, and the tamales were huge! This place would definitely fit in near the border.

Mi Sabor is my favorite Mexican restaurant in New Jersey. Everything they serve is authentic and delicious. My wife and I always get their plantains, they are amazing. Their chips and guacamole are also highly recommended. I usually always get their beef enchiladas with red sauce, but sometimes I switch it up and get a smothered burrito. My wife's go to is the chimichanga. The staff is very friendly, the place is kept clean and their food is delicious. Definitely give them a try if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Incredible Mexican cuisine! This review is not based on a visit or two but on many throughout over a year. So we started going to Mi Sabor over the pandemic, looking for an establishment to serve take-out breakfast. We found it, and now over one year, we are returning about once a week for breakfast and fabulous lunches and dinner. So hold on; you mentioned breakfast? Yes! Eggs with vegetables are our favorite, served with the most amazing black beans, rice, cheese, and green sauce; yum, it is so good. For dinner, it's a smothered burrito with green sauce as well. The most professional staff will treat you right; eat in or take out, they do it to your liking. Great vegetarian selections, or ask if you want something added to your preference. Remember to stop at Lone Eagle for a four-pack to go with your dinner. Or, get take out and head to Lone Eagle for a couple of exceptional brews. Note: The hours on Google do not represent the hours they are open. We usually arrive at 9 for breakfast, and they are open but give a call to make sure.

Excellent hidden gem we found! The food and service were both great. We went on a Friday night and were seated immediately (no clue what the other review is talking about taking over 2 hours for food definitely was not the case. We ordered our chip sampler which came out in less than 10 minutes and the guacamole is the best I have ever had (definitely better than Chipotle so ignore that review too). I got the nachos for my meal and every chip was a bite of flavor. My husband got the steak rice and beans and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Staff was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back!!

I went to dinner with a friend and arrived just about 6:30pm. The restaurant wasn't busy and I chose to eat outdoors. I asked the server for a suggestion and placed my order based on her recommendation. The order took a very long time to arrive even with the few patrons. I was greeted by one of the owners and he seemed to be very interested in making a positive experience. The food was okay but not among the best mid-priced Mexican style restaurants I have eaten at. I would consider trying them again at a different time. The owner indicated they specialize in breakfast and brunches so maybe this would be better.
